Big E Speakers Part 4 - Quadraphenia

There was a rock bassist here that wrote that he's been playing live since the late 60's, used fridges, and everything in-between. Now he's using a stacked pair of MAS 46's and couldn't be happier. Me, I can't wait for my MAS 112 -with red insides!

John, hopefully you'll still have the pre when you get the 112 - It will be a great sounding combination.

Nice review Nomatic! Now I really wish I had heard the 46 when I had a chance last week. I'm very happy with my flex mod, but As the top cab is still pretty large, I could see having a smaller box for gigs that didn't require the volume of the flex 110

J. Wolf, I confess to having the same thoughts... LOVE my FlexMod, but it didn't quite hit the "small top cab for small gigs" button.
However, it DOES cover those gigs beautifully, and I'm not budgeted for another cab at the moment.
Right now I'm fighting to prevent GAS for one of the high end (sadly also high $$) pres/amps that keep getting described - the JGR, Monique, Puma, and the SonicFarm... I keep repeating, GB Shuttle sounds great and is more than enough for me.

For what it's worth...did R&B gig last night in a decent sized club...I'd say close to a medium sized room..I was astonished the sound this Mas 45 put out...the Monique/Minnie rig sounded
Incredible and the cab was plenty loud enough keeping up with a hard hitting drummer....

You are welcome to borrow my 4x6 for a small gig. I don't think it's all that much smaller than your top cab though. I usually carry it by the ports, (sides) two handed but it is an easy one hand by the handle too.
