Sorry to excessively post, but, after getting off the phone with Mike a couple of hours ago, I'm even more excited about the prototype 115 coming my way. 18sound woofer, 6 4" faital mid/tweets and a whole lot of vortexing going on (shut up, it's a verb now). This thing is going to KILL in the best ways.
Yeah---with the 115 I got pretty weirded out running it to full volume indoors. It was weird. I plugged into the 115 with about 600 watts and then plugged into the 112 with the 18Sound. I was like--"man---there's something wrong with the 112!" There was nothing wrong with the 112. It was just that after playing the 115 the 112 sounded puny. And the 112 is not a puny sounding speaker!
I have no idea how I'm going to test the 215. I don't want to be anywhere near it at full volume. The Ice puts out 1200 into 4.
I think I'll let Tom and Steve do it.

Send it here! I'll bridge the PLX 3602 and take it out in the back yard, shoot it towards the forrest, and see what wildlife comes running out. Seriously.
Heh. I can imagine the local news headlines: Human-caused Derecho Reported in Maryland...
Talk to Mike about the yet to be released MA-110 Essential. It is basically the 110Flex with a fixed voicing (your choice).Needs have changed. *sigh* ... Can anyone offer some additional MAS-biased suggestions?
Eric

Hey Razman, I don't know your history on this thread, by memory, but where BigE shines is where the rubber meets the road, in clubs theaters gyms bars honky tonks etc. Making difficult rooms better, is a huge plus with MAS cabs. Bedroom is improved by a small MAS cab, but most of us probably don't need it. What rig did your church buy from you? If they have a nice space to fill every week I hope they bought an MAS cab. Especially if they go on the road. IMHO
Question for Mike Arnopol about the current product line.
After earlier photos most won't think of me as the poster child for medium power tube amps.
Interested in MVW technology for a 45 watt head.
Four string friendly, think blues, three piece British blues rock.
Torn between that classic 4x12 tone from across the pond and classic Sunn with JBL D-140's.
Suggestions please.
I'm curious as to whether an MVW 212 has ever been considered and what the changes in dimensions and weight versus the 112 would be?There is a working 115 prototype that JB is going to test for commercial viability. We felt that the size difference between the 115 and 215 was small enough that a 115 did not make sense. I quess we will see. A word of caution: in my opinion none of the MVW 15's are very good for, "put it in the practice room and crank it!" These loudspeakers will need some large areas to really stretch their legs. In too small a room they will not sound good or perform well.
