I think I'll be able to talk tomorrow. When you called I almost picked up---but you might have thought some weird pervert picked up---which would have been true---but a different weird pervert.

I had mentioned to Nostatic that he was actually the impetus for us developing the Flex cabs.No royalties, though.

Mike, I spoke to my dad over the weekend - it was his birthday. He told me that he hasn't seen the likes of the cold they had since he was a kid - not even when I was growing up there. And I've been watching it on my phone - sub-zero temps since beginning of December! I feel for you.

The Navy rescued me a long time ago, and dropped me off in Florida. Granted, we get tired of 90+ degree heat for three or more months, but at least no white stuff and it hasn't gotten below 20 since I've been here (20 years).

Stay warm and get well soon..

Thats just awesome, hope these drivers will perform as you guys had in mind.

I know Oberton can build me custom ones too, but then I have to buy like 50 units or so.....But I have some connections with the importer in the Netherlands and I allready gave them some pointers on how to improve the allready excellent 8" coaxial driver.

The Glockenklang Blue Sky sounds fantastic through the 46. The low end is like a sledge hammer.

Mike! Feel better soon man, I was feeling for you over the phone yesterday, it sounded rough. Luckily I'm a nurse so you can't scare me away! Let's connect when you're back on your feet and have a little time to chat. And hey, if you need any medical/nursing advice, just holler.

Now I really want to try nomatics flex210 with the 100 watt port city prototype tube head I played the other day through my cabs. It was wicked good sounding, I can only imagine how it would do with the flex based on the review of the reeves.

Wow---turns out I got pneumonia! Apparently spending 2 1/2 hours(with a cold) working on replacing a propane tank valve in -3 degree weather isn't recommended.
I'm very against antibiotics but had to bite the bullet. No voice yet. This weather is fu#@&ng insane!

I spent a lot of bread installing a gas radiant heating system in my garage but for a few days I couldn't get it above 50.

Should be ok after the weekend.

At least I'm getting up to date on the
Oscar contenders.

I can report that the super bassman 300 and the Peavey VB-2 sound great through the early BigE 4x8 with the early order eminence 8's. But so does my svt7pro. I think these cabs can pull the gig through most amps. Quality in and quality plus something special out.
And I just want to reiterate that I go out and hear bands play through the usual stuff, and a tight well rehearsed band sounds good through those rigs. Just expect something a cut above the usual suspects with these.
Do you need it? Of course not. Would you appreciate the difference at your first gig? I say without a doubt! YMMV.

I did the push myself thing in my late 30's or early forties, when I was working as a first responder, building my own house, and went back at it too soon after a cold. Ended up in ER with kneemoania too. It sucks to admit you are not bullet proof Do what your doctors tell you to Mike.

A friend of mine down South had a similar heating problem - almost no insulation, and a lower-capacity furnace sized for normally expected winter conditions - when an Arctic cold snap came through. His furnace was running continuously, but he barely kept his pipes from freezing inside the house.

Everything has limits... the number of BTUs that your heater will put out, or the capacity of your immune system to recover from a cold in a harsh environment. Hope the antibiotics do their job, and you are feeling better soon.

When it's the arctic cold outside my shop never gets above 50. Pellet stove and 220 overhead radiant. The radiant is above the work bench so that it heats me, keeps my most immediate area warm enough to work. The heat I have is sized appropriately for kind of winters we usually have. I haven't seen it like this since I was a kid.

Build faster. It keeps you warmer :-)

Pneumonia is nothing to screw around with. Once you've had it you're more susceptible, stay on your toes, take your medicine.

Hey Mike,

I would also get some acupuncture to help the lung Qi concurrently with the antibiotics.
Also a herb formula to remove heat and then probiotics after.
When I have had the really bad infections the combo of eastern and western medicine
has been the most effective.

Been there, don't even want to go back. I actually performed while I had it. Made it through the show, went home and collapsed. I drug myself to the doctor, got the diagnosis and did two rounds of antibiotic. I was a very weak, coughing mass of protoplasm. :rollno: When I felt good enough to go to work, I only put in half-days at first. It will definitely take the wind out of your sails!
