It's a decent starting platform, but I'd also suggest that you spend some money on upgrades when you can, and I definitely agree w/tennis...swap that fork out first.

Those Tektro discs aren't really all that bad, but I'd definitely be sure that they're well bled out and adjusted before the bike leaves the shop.

I'll try not to upgrade it for some time, you know college..money those details lol. Perhaps around Christmas if I don't have enough to swap group on my roadie, or enough for both.

Like I said, the frame itself isn't bad at all...it's the parts mix that needs the work. Set the fork up for 100mm of travel, BTW, if it already isn't. Are the brakes OK?

They brake, I tried them at "high speed" while riding the bike back home, and they do brake real well, he made sure everything was properly setup before leaving the shop, including the brakes,gears,etc.

Just came back from the Centurion 100 miler (more like 110 miles, lol)

Whoever designed that course was a monster. Definitely a lot of fun though.

I learned some times ago that we have a pretty big track network that the city takes care of, it's pretty cool I've checked 2 yesterday and they're nice.
