It's Invalid Link Removed It's a bandage that more or less takes the pain away from whatever you put it on. It's actually amazing. Someone on my team took a pretty horrible dive about 1 or 2 weeks before the race and injured his shoulder pretty badly. He put the spidertech on, and the pain basically went away almost instantly.

Although, I can read it over and over and still have no idea how it works.
One thing is for sure: it's definitely not a placebo effect. It's incredible how much difference it makes.
I have some friends who swear by that tape as well. There was an article about it in Triathlete magazine a few months back and apparently it does work. The trick is in how it's applied I believe. I've never tried it myself though...
Anyone see anything interesting coming out form interbike?
My personal fav brand (Salsa) has a few cool new frames/complete builds including a short travel, single pivot 29er that looks great (Spearfish) and updates to other frames of theirs.
The highlight though may be Heather Irmiger and Willow Koerber signing man boobs a the SRAM booth.

I've only worked on external cup BBs so I have no idea of the pros/cons, installation procedures, etc. of the BB30.

I've only worked on external cup BBs so I have no idea of the pros/cons, installation procedures, etc. of the BB30.
I rode a Cannondale with a BB30 not long ago. I don't remember the model, but it had the Cannondale brand crank, and had Ultegra/Dura-Ace on it. It rode fine, but I honestly couldn't tell any difference between it and my Tarmac as far as stiffness in the BB area.
One thing that I do commend Shimano for doing well are the cartridge BBs...stick in in the frame, ride it until it dies (and they're well sealed, so this is a few years usually), yank and replace. Just be SURE that you have the splining lined up properly when installing the cranks.

Had the chance to ride 2 Scalpels on with BB30 one without.
(They didn't have the same crank though)
BB30 was definitly stiffer.
My next bike (98% sure it's gonna be a Scalpel) is gonna be BB30 for sure.
Oops...proving that the caffeine hasn't totally kicked in yet; I thought you were asking about Shimano's BB-30 (old part number) unit...never mind about that bit, just move on...
The BB30 standard is one that more frame builders should adopt, AS LONG AS they are capable of properly making bottom-bracket shells...you'd be surprised at how many Big Name folks are not always capable of doing so, especially certain carbon-frame builders.
