We might not like her style or delivery, but I think she's putting out solid, catchy pop tunes.

While i dont think that's a particularly inspiring bassline the playing by such a young player, on an entry level instrument, sure makes you realise you should be practicing instead of browsing the classifieds.

Especially when the "performances" feature one hot vocal mic, a prerecorded instrumental track and a bunch of people onstage holding musical instruments and acting as if they're playing them.

Remember when the Grammys featured and celebrated people who could actually create music live?

Music industry, you've lost your way, my old friend.

Not to mention WAYYYYYY to many musical performances!! Get on with the awards and shorten the program to 2 hours!! 4-1/2 is way too long.

I'm willing to come out and say that some of her stuff is way more interesting than the vast majority of the pre-fab pop music of today (and of plenty of previous days). IMO some of her most popular tunes, like "Bad Guy," are not very well representative of her work overall.

Humans evolve, just like the rest of life. Musical tastes of humans also evolve, sometimes even come full circle.

Some creatures are slow to evolve, some don’t and eventually go extinct. Evolution can be confusing if you don’t have an open mind.

My wife is a huge pop fan. I am not so much. But she sings and I play bass and music brings us together, so I learn the songs she likes and we play them together. You would be surprised at some of the chord changes in pop songs and how fun some of the basslines are to play. Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it.
