Got c-261 Tuesday. Had lunch with the gang, Scott, Brady, and Jake. Brady demoed his short scale Charger. It is really sweet, although he could make any bass sound fantastic. Get to play the new one this Sunday.

When I opened the Birdsong Current Builds page tonight I was shocked and jazzed to see the Body of the "Bark Bass" as she has become known as. WOW, just look at the colors in the bark area.
It will be interesting to see how the colors and patterns change and come out as the edge of the body is rounded and shapped.

PS: Despite the entry of a Fender Modern Tele Bass into my life, I continue to have a strong, mature, and fruitful relationship with my cBass. If Scott ever builds another one...

Since I just got my corto2 I am thinking about having Scott make a fret less neck to replace the fretted one on my original corto. Anybody have any advice or thoughts on that?

Grab an Embrace for a fretless and if your not wanting to keep the Corto and Corto2 sell the corto and have cash left over after buying the Embrace.

You will have to send it back to Scott to have him swap the necks. He won't send you a neck and won't let you keep the fretted at least that's what he told me a few years ago when I was thinking about the same thing. You'd also have to pay shipping both ways.

He said no problem and that the corto made a great fret less. It would be a neck swap out paying the difference. Now do I want to do that or just pay some more for an embrace? I am thinking I will do the swap.

Scott posted these pics of the Bark Bass neck. Look at the grain in the maple and the way he set the grain in the back of the headstock. Almost a flying V look to the grain. Now that is attention to detail.

I love the wood burning of the Birdsong logo. I wonder if the burn fade will still be there? I am guessing that it will be sanded clean but I love it either way.

Did Scott stop running ads in bass player? I'm looking for a copy of the magazine that has my bass in it (Artist #007) I got the June 2013 issue and its the first bassplayer I've seen that did not have one of his ads in it. I don't have a subscription anymore and I just want a single magazine that has the ad with my bass, could anyboby tell me which issue I should buy that has the ad.
