Currently on hiatus
GK 400RB-III and a (in need of a new speaker) Eden CXM-112 cab.

My new practice amp (currently serving as backup main rig)
Hartke Kickback 112 - I like the Hartke so much I'm thinking about going that way as a replacement cabinet for the main rig.

I believe you told me I'd regret selling my GK 400RB ... yeah yeah yeah. :crying: I shoulda just gotten rid of the 210 cab and hooked it up to a 112, but I didn't.

I'll keep the Eden NC210 though; that should be a good match for the Bird.

And I've got the little Bassman for practice, but it's a bit muddy in the lows. I'm thinking about the Phil Jones Suitcase ... or the Markbass Mini ... or the GK Microbass ... or ... (open to ideas!)

Yeah, aluminum cone. I like it. Hartke and Avatar are both on my potential wish-lists for a new cabinet somewhere down the line. But I think replacing the speaker in the Eden with an Eminence Truvox is going to be the answer.

The Hartke is solid for the Cortofusion, but it REALLY likes the fretless.

So I don't qualify to join the club, but I met a guy that works for Birdsong over the weekend at a gig I had in Kerrville, TX. The guy's name was wes, and he was a really cool guy, and a pretty darn good guitar player. I've got a custom roscoe, so as a luthier his interest was piqued and he struck up a conversation as I was setting up. Anyways, it's always cool to meet someone that has a hands-on job in the industry with a company you admire!

Both of mine came strung with D'Addario Chrome flats and I later restrung the Cortofusion with some of the last of the Birdsong strings (made by SIT before that deal fell through). I haven't tried the Mangan strings or anything else. Wait - no...it briefly had a set of Bass Boomers on it, but I only kept them on for about a week.

Since getting the SIT-made strings, I've kept them on.

Hello everyone. I just had a couple questions. I'm really interested now in ordering a Birdsong bass (unfortunately I'm probably going to have to sell a bass and other stuff in order to cover the cost :( ), however I really don't have any idea as to how to go about ordering one.

Anyways, I remember someone saying that they were complimented for the Primus tone they had. I kind of want to go in that direction. I really love the Sadhanas body, but need to make sure I don't just order something because of its appearance. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to talk with you!
