Sounds good to me T2W, we can do the GTG at my place....if you can all afford the $2000 return ticket :hyper:

Wow, Phil, that bass is all pickup and neck!

Are those the pickups with the bobbins in two halves?

Yes, those were the ones but since I got a donation of forbon from the right width, they'll now be in one piece each. 6.5" long.

Pilbara, the debounce mechanism is internal to the CUB3 counter I'm using. You only have to make sure that the magnet is placed juuusst in the right place so it's not too far or too close from the reed. (I didn't forget you mate)

:) lol

I can't wait to see those pickups...you'll have about 1/2kg of copper in them by the time you're done...lol

6.5" bobbins...unreal...

btw...that body is just incredible! c'est magnifique!

I've got two fellow TB'ers coming up here to test out the pickups and the bass with their own Markbass & Ampeg rig around that time.
Phil - while I'm looking forward to seeing the monster in the flesh, if you (or any other brisvegas TBers for that matter) ever want to produce some decent quality soundclips...you're more than welcome to use my Protools home studio...

Unfortunately it's on the back burner for a few weeks. We got word that our new house is finished and we're moving there in three weeks. So there's a lot of logistics going on right now.

I don't have time to finish it until we're in the new house. You guys can still come to check it out before it gets shipped but that will now have to be in Cedar Vale (Jimboomba).

By huge, he means half a foot long :D

I also started lacquering the pickup covers. Here's a pic to compare with a Jazz pickup cover. Can 6" be called huge? :p :hiding:
