This is fingerstyle. It has a lot of depth to it and the camera may not be picking everything up equally. The tone he's getting is likely what he was going for. There is no single tone for this cab and they definitely aren't scooped unless you dial them in and play them that way. If they were I wouldn't use them, I really don't like scooped mids. The mids can be very forward, even or dialed back. They're flexible.

If I may add since I was the one who took that video with my phone (forgive the quality), I'm not sure that the player was all that familiar with the cabs. If I recall correctly, Vernon Barbary loaned his cab to the guy so that he could try it at that event in a live situation. There were a LOT of bands playing that day and he basically walked on stage, set up, made a few minor tweaks, then their set started. It was really brief considering.

EDIT: One more thing. There was of course PA support in that video. I heard the cab before that kicked in and was impressed with the tone he was getting. I didn't think "slap cab" or anything such as that from what I got out of hearing it.

I had the chance to check out the BBC last night... I went to a local show to check out a local guy that gigs with one. I had a chance to check it out on stage. It really thumps!

I was able to shoot about 20 minutes of video via Periscope. The audio is actually pretty clear and articulate. The bassist was playing with a Geng Benz 900 watt head, he was not running direct nor was he mic'd.

There was sound reinforcement for the keys, vocals, and guitars.

It seemed a little boomy at the moment, but it could have been where where I was sitting. You can pretty clearly hear how articulate it is tho: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
