boss gt-100

I have just been working on a GT-100 bass patch set, which you can download from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/fxfloorboard/files/GT-100FxFloorboard/Patch Sets/

If you would like to try and let me know what you think of them and if any need tweaking..

Thanks for putting together these patches! Am going to give them a try. I'm partial to the Ampeg SVT modeling on the GT-10B, so if any of these deliver a similar tone and the tuner doesn't give me issues with low strings, I may stick with the GT-100 for both bass/guitar and sell the GT-10B.

The GT-100 has had a couple of firmware updates since the last post here, version 2.03 is the latest as of yesterday (from the Roland site).
The latest firmware adds 2 new amp models (orange and bogner) and some new effects like the tera echo and adaptive distortion.
They have also fixed the tuner, so it works on bass better, also a poly tuner (tune all strings at once) and also pitch to midi added too.

I've just joined TB, mainly to ask a question about GT-100, which I am now thinking of bying. I read all the comments on this thread and was delighted to read that Roland has finally resolved the tuner issue.

I, on the other hand, play a six-string in a different tuning (ADGCFA# - all strings tuned down by a whole tone), so my lowest string (A) could possibly still cause an issue with this unit.

Has anyone tried the tuner this low after the upgrade? If not, it would be really awesome if someone could check it with low A (and low D).

Thanks in advance!

Congrats on the GT-100!!
I don't know about the tuner, as I have never tuned my bass that low (mine only goes down to B)

I just got a gt-100 been reading a lot of feedbacks here in talkbass and i chose it rather than the line6 500 , was wondering where i can get some really good patches, also downloaded gumtown's patches too,

i am looking for the dod envelope filter tone, as well as a really good slap tone,

and can i use gt10b patches ? How? :)

hi gumtown thank you for the reply, is there a way to get the gt10b factory preset/patches and bulk transfer them to gt100?
You are just in luck, I have just uploaded the factory presets for the GT-10B, converted to GT-100 Tone Studio type format.
I have not auditioned them yet, but here is a download link.

Loading in the whole 200 patch bundle should make your GT-100 as close to a GT-10B as possible.

Gumtown, any thoughts on my issue with importing the 10B patches?
I did come across the same issue myself, if the patch uses the Chorus effect, then the direct level needs to be turned up to 100.
Check FX1 or FX2 effect levels haven't ended up at "0".
A slight oversight in the patch conversion program.

I am re-doing the GT-10B Factory patch set for the GT-100 with the levels evened out.
