I think this is the American Thomann website. It could be just the way their search engine works.

Oh no, now I will have to reload that page twice a day out of curiosity!
When searching on Sweetwater there is a listing of a bag for the GX-1000, but that is probably a spelling error although it is consistent in the full description.

If there is a GX-1000Bass it better not have a blue casing! : )

Yes, there is also a 'listing' for a GT-500 if you type that in the search bar. Or a GT-200, GT-7 ... False alarm haha!

The 'listing' is just a search suggestion. It suggests products that do not exist and then if you click search they just show you a few other/existing Boss products. Stupid search machine / smart business.

Something weird is happening with my 1000core, and its a fight with my Shift Line Olympic and the Core. It just started happening a few weeks ago, and I cant seem to figure out what the problem is.

Board is:
Sure wireless --> Core --> loop 1 (Empress comp) --> loop 2 (Shift line olympic 4CM) --> Core out --> Olympic return.

Whenever the olympic is in activated (even if it is in an unengaged divider block but "on") I get a high pitched screeching sound, or a low throbbing WHOMP sound. If i disengage the loop block 2, the WHOMP or feedback screech goes away. If I plug directly into the olympic directly into my headphones it sounds fine. Even plugging the boss into the olympic loop with bass into the olympic input results in the unwanted sounds.

I've switched basses: same sounds
I've change the tube: same sounds
I've change power supply channel in my CIOKS DC7: Same sounds
I've created a neutral preset in the Boss with nothing activated: same sounds

Any ideas what this could be? Its to the point I need to pick the Olympic or the Boss because all of a sudden they dont play well.

Also, has anyone noticed a tone change between using pedals on their own vs using them in the fx loops of the 1000core? The tone of my olympic is considerably darker when using it through the boss vs using the olympic on its own or even when running out of master output of the boss before the olympic.

I wouldn't like to guess which one is faulty, but I did a quick Google question and it came back with information about Current Flow between Digital and Analog pedals in terms of voltage each device requires. You're using Isolated Power Supply so mixing digital and analog pedals shouldn't be a problem. For me I've either gone all analog or all digital pedalboards. Just an idea.

Another question: dynamic gating for internal loop blocks.

I want to recreate the effect on this Blessing Offor song. Check the part at 0:40


The bass has this crossover where it’s a regular bass tone (great tone) but hits an autowah when he digs in. I’ve tried to set this up with the dynamic gate but it’s not hard enough of a switch. The wah kicks in faintly with too little pressure and adjusted the other direction doesn’t activate the wah clearly enough.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to make this more effective?

Does anyone know how to split the main out to send two different chains? I believe I can do this by creating a sub out with one of the loops, but I also tend to use the loops.

Another question, is there a way to use two different chains (two instruments input into the boss) with two different IRs (one for each channel) coming out of the same output?

I hope everyone is enjoying their 1000core. I find that pretty much any problem I need to solve with routing or tone can be done with the Core. Of course, there are always things I wish it had, but what it had does an amazing job.

I was able to figure out how to route it so that I can switch between my banjo and upright bass for my bluegrass group and have the bass go to my amp and the banjo go through the sub out with a selector button that mutes the other when not engaged. I'll now see if I can attach acoustic IRs to each channel to help keep the tone more authentic and natural, but so far it's working. I'll test it out on my next gig.
