Here's a basic template for splitting between Main Out and Sub Out. Like splitting between an amp or FRFR, and FOH.

How are you setting up your Div’s and Mixes? This is my template, with all effects blocks are initialised.
- FX 1 is for Pitch Shifting and Wah effects
- CMP is post AIRD Preamp and Drive effects
- FX 2 is the Bass Chorus
- FX 3 is the Limiter
- DIV 1 is single or dual channel
- Speaker Sim is always 8x10 or 2x15
- Main Out is Low Cut 40hz and High Cut 3.15khz

Have you tried the Divider using the sensitivity filter? Here's an example of using Divider 1 as a Crossover. Channel A (low channel) frequencies above 500hz removed, Channel B (high channel) frequencies below 500hz removed.

There is a wealth of possibilities! One of many things I haven't tried yet.
Is anyone aware of any places to download/share gt-1000 patches for bass?
First time with a multi-fx so trying to decide how to organise my patches. I was thinking of creating some templates with each of the amp types and some useful signal chains as starting points on slots 20+. That way I can clone to slots 1-19 and tweak as required.
Tbh I can't imagine needing more than 2-3 patches at any given time but handy to have room to scale
I noticed the same. I really didn't use them at all, never got a hang of them. One thing I've noticed is that with any bass heads I've had in the past the approach has always been set everything to 12 o'clock and tweak a little as needed. It's rare I'd ever go further than 10-2 o'clock.
With the GT preamps I'm regularly cranking bass and applying additional eqs to get a fairly neutral but full bass tone. Is that fairly common or does it sound like I'm doing something silly?
Disclaimer: I don’t have a GT-1000 but I do have a recently acquired HX stomp. I notice a huge difference in the mic I chose on the cab sim. If the GT has a choice maybe try a different mic. I found a ribbon mic to keep more low end.One thing I've noticed is that with any bass heads I've had in the past the approach has always been set everything to 12 o'clock and tweak a little as needed. Good point! The best mic for bass in the GT1KCORE/Core is the DYN421, IMO. That’s the one I use. It’s modelled on a Sennheiser MD-421, which has extended low end according to the Boss manual.

Have you adjusted the input level for your bass? This can make a huge difference and if it's still set to the default level it will very likely be several dBs below ideal.
For example:
I got a couple of the LBA 2020’s (v1), and I put them in the FX loops of my CORE, and oh my! I’ve moved them around to find the “right” spot for them, and I’m running them as Direct mix, and really pushing the send on them. They have really brought my tone to life. Super punchy and responsive!
