The versatility on the Boss is amazing!
I was able to dial in my prince of tone sound for guitar last night and they are nearly identical through headphones. I bet through an amp no one could tell. Being able to custom make almost anything is fantastic.

Again, if you could only change the display name for custom mix pedals on the box when in use...

Let Boss know! I would love a 4th FX block instead of all the delay’s.

My issues with the GT1k core so far:
  • Lots of redundant delay and reverbs, I'd love to be able to swap them out for FX blocks. I'd imagine reverb would be one of the most expensive effects on the whole pedal so the fact that you can't just opt for 1 or even 2 FX blocks instead is incredibly frustrating. Surely 4/5 delays are worth at least an extra comp or distortion in terms of processing power?
  • Some occasional missing options, why can't you set a knob to control input instrument profiles which is something you'd genuinely need to change on the fly at a gig etc but you can set just about everything else?
  • Adding labels to controls. Changing led colour is great and all but adding a label, even if it's max 4 characters or something would be so helpful.
  • CabSim options seem a little underwhelming compared to other offerings out there. Adding custom inpulses is great but the built in ones have so much configuration, it'd be nice if you had 2/3 different cab styles rather than just generic speaker sizes.
  • Lastly a few more preamp options, the ones there are incredible but another 1 or 2, maybe something a little closer to a GK would be a game changer.
Most of those are tiny gripes that don't really make a huge difference but would be easily remedied (I'd imagine) via a software update. Hoping for the more substantial stuff like an additional preamp and more cabsim stuff in future, that being said I'm already pretty spoilt for choice already :D

It is possible to set a knob to select one of the input-level-presets, it says input R and if you select this as your parameter you can select 1 to 10 or system (see post #645). Did you check this but it does not work ?? (I only checked visually..)

Didn't seem to do anything for me but assumed it didn't do what I'd thought. Will take a look and see if I can get it working. I guess if I use L for a mono input.

Well I got a offer on the GK Fusion 800s bass head I was planning to sell and replace with a class D power amp for ultimate portability. Having set it back up with 4cm today again and compared side by side with the onboard preamps I think I'm just gonna keept though. While the difference in a live setting is probably fairly negligible, when recording the GK just sounds incredible.

I was thinking of maybe grabbing some 5m Sommer multiflex 4 core cable and make a single 4cm cable with colour coded jack's on. That'd give me the 3 that I'd need to connect my GT1K to my Fusion and an extra cable to control the footswitch.

Is that a bit overkill? Works out cheaper than 4 separate similar quality cables and would be way neater!

I currently don't have enough long leads to connect it up so I've had to use patch cables, this does mean it has to sit on top of my amp to reach

Nice, how'd you find the Olympic preamp? They sound great in videos I've seen.
I really like it. Ive gone through a bunch of BF fender boxes and am settling on this one due to it's other functions. Obviously the Kingsley is there for guitar. I also have the effectrode Blackbird and an origin 64 BP that I'm now selling. Overall, the Olympic is fantastic.

Im so new to pedals, I've always just had my amp + mxr compressor, Aphex 204 and a distortion or fuzz. Getting the GT1K has only made we want more

I'd love to just spend a day playing with pedals to work out what I actually want before dropping loads of money on them. Annoyingly my local music shops have a pretty poor collection.

Don't start buying pedals! I went gt1k then went back to pedals just to now be happier with the gx100. I'm at a point where I'm only going to keep the "boutique" limited edition type pedals
