The WAVE PDL is an excellent source for LFO effects. However, I haven't conceived of how to best modify the RATE of the WAVE PDL LFO in real time. I was hoping to find an assign where I can assign the EXP PDL to sweep between beat divisions of the LFO but that doesn't seem possible from what I can see. There's no assigns available to control WAVE PDL parameters.
Fishing for your thoughts.
Quality of the effects are simular, and the general controls are much the same, but the GT-10B has controllers called 'Assigns" which allow complex control of the multi-effects version of the effect, using Pedal switches, Expression pedal, internal oscillators, or input picking strength, to control any or all of the effect's parameter settings. How do the effects on the GT-10B compare to the individual Boss pedals in terms of quality and control? e.g. GT-10B overdrive and chorus vs ODB-3 and CEB-3 respectively?
The Master BPM assigned to the Expression pedal works fine as a variable Rate control for the LFO (wave pedal), just ensure the assign source mode is set to Moment, rather than Toggle, or you will only get the 2 min/max states happening.Dudes, this is exactly what I'm looking for, right now!! And it seems crazy that this unit, for all its flexibility, can't vary the rate of it's LFO.
Another idea is to assign the Exp Pedal as Gumtown said to Master BPM and change the lowest and highest values to your intended effect. Only gives you two 'detents', but it's a start. Then you can use the B channel to run triplets or some variation of those two BPMs, for a total of four distinct rates. You could set up EXP PDL 2, also. I just tried it. Fun, but a bit cumbersome switching.
Yes, with the assigns only, make sure your source mode is set to Moment instead of Toggle. In the Pedal Control part, i usually only set the CTL pedal to do pedal LED Momentary, or Pedal LED toggle, and let the Assign setting determine the actual functions. Here's another question for you gurus - can the CTRL2 PDL be set to moment, instead of toggle, so you can press down to switch to channel B for a single beat/etc, and then just release, instead of having to double clutch it?
Yes, i used the Wah both normal, with the EXP pedal sweeping the filter, and also with the Wave Pedal LFO controller Assigned to the Wah Pedal Position, and then using the EXP pedal to control the oscillating LFO rate. Can the Wah's be used for this, instead?

PS, Gumtown, thanks x1,000,000 for all your posts about this unit and for writing the software editor. It's frickin awesome.

Cheers Thanks, hope it is useful![]()

But the Wah's can't actually be re-Assigned as a source to something else, right?
FXFlbd is not just useful. It's indispensable.![]()
Here is a link to the direct downloadJust got myself a GT10b, but am having trouble getting the librarian to read a .syx file I downloaded, and the link to Link Removed is dead cos I was gonna give that a go... can anyone link me to where I can get it? Thanks![]()
Here is a link to the direct download
http://sourceforge.net/projects/fxfloorboard/files/
just select the correct version for the GT-10B.
The linking website has been down for a few weeks now, the Web Host suddenly left town, so i have to sort out another site.
The Boss Librarian won't read *.syx type files as they are made with GT-10BFxFloorBoard editor, only *.gxg and will import *.mid file types.
Can anyone confirm/deny the the GT-10B supports MIDI THRU?
Based on my testing today it does not appear to. That's always so damn annoying.
Also, can anyone confirm the GT-10B can actually hold to a MIDI Time Clock (MTC) reliably or if it deviates significantly? Quick testing on my end seems to indicate it has a fairly significant deviation and doesn't appear to re-sync with each N measure or anything. Over the course of a handful of measures a quater-beat synced tremolo, for example, ends up being way off the click.
