Boss GT-1B Patches

Hello all. I'm fairly new with my GT-1B. When I assign any of the Wah effects, they seem very weak. What I mean is that when I pedal back and forth, there isn't much change in sound. Also, the pedal on indicator light is constantly lit on that patch, and it won't turn off. Is the Wah not that great, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.

Wah is awesome..try placing it in another spot in the signal chain!

Sorry, I was thinking of the fs-6, but can the fs-6 be used to get 4 additional patches?
Thanks.
You can add flexibility with an additional boss footswitch...you can assign any button to get "on/off" effects (distortions, fx1/fx2, delay, reverb etc..) so if you get a double additional footswitch you end up having 5 "stompboxes"...
And remember ctl1, you could get up to 6 simultaneous changes more specifically (more gain, a change of a preamp eq, change a effect for another on the fx1, etc..) and even within the additional footswitch you get if you want a ctl2...
Bottom line, you don't get additional patches lol but a hell out of flexibility.

This is a neat thread.

Here's my contribution:

I call it METAL CRUNCH

FX1: Compressor > Fat
Sustain > 50
Attack > 70
Tone > 30
Level > 40

PrA: Guitar Crunch
Gain > 55
Level > 40
Speaker Type > 4x10
Bass > 50
Mid > 80
Treb > 40
Presence > 90

FX2: PEQ
Low Gain > -3
Low-mid gain > 3
High-mid gain > 3
High gain > -3
Level > 4
Low-mid freq > 800hz
Low-mid Q > 16
High-mid freq > 1.25 kHz
High-mid Q > 16

OD: HiBND DRV
Drive > 55
Tone > 7
Bottom > 100
Effect Level > 40
Direct Level > 65

It's still very much a work in progress and it's a fairly noisy patch, so if you have a noise gate of some kind it would be a good idea to run through that. Still, so far I really like what it's been able to put out.

My house has bad grounding so all of my active basses get pretty noisy, but here's an idea of what it sounds like:

Cool. Thanks.

Here's one that I created:

I started with a synth tone but then I added reverb and another synth on top of it. Now it's a sort of Distortion/Synth sound.

FX2 (Chorus) Rate:31, Depth:67, Lowcut:100hz, Hicut:Flat, ELevel:100

OD (AB-DIST) Drive:50, Tone:0, Bottom:0, Effectlvl:50, Directlvl:0

PRA (Superflat) Gain:40, Lvl:45, SP Type:OFF, Bass:50, Middle:50, Treble:50, Presence:50

Delay (Tera Echo) Time:50, Feedback:50, Tone:0, EffectLvl:32, Hold:OFF, Directlvl:100

Reverb (Hall 1) Reverb time:2.8s, Effectlvl:24, Lowcut:160Hz, Highcut:4.00kHz

Did you know that when using GT-1BFxFloorBoard editor
Fx FloorBoard - Browse /GT-1BFxFloorBoard at SourceForge.net
that you can paste an automatically generated patch text list of the settings parameters.

Hey guys, I’ve been off a laptop for a couple of years and just borrowed one for a while. I may have missed the link, but a couple of years ago someone had written their own programme for use with the gt1b, it was better than the boss version but I can’t find it now. Maybe I’m looking to hard and missed it but does anyone remember it or the link to download it… cheers
