Yeah, Jesse's "checking out/unstable" phase has been stretched out a little too far by now. Probably the most unbelievable aspect of the show at this point.

Whenever BB comes up in a discussion and someone says they're thinking about trying it, I emphasize START FROM THE BEGINNING. Don't drop in in the middle cuz you'll have missed too much good backstory.
I predicted last year that Jesse was required to stay around because Hank & Jesse have a history. Sure enough, Hank is gonna use Jesse to try to get to Walt.

I don't think it's unbelievable. Think of everyone he has lost personally or has seen be hurt/killed because of him. Combine that with the on again off again tension between him and Walter. All because of the pursuit of money. I can completely buy it..besides, it's only two episodes into the new season where he's REALLY begun checking out. Other seasons where he's fallen off don't count because he was reacting to something that happened at the moment. At this point it's everything being added up that is affecting him.
I'm actually ready to give up on this show. Everyone told me to watch all of season three, so I'm giving it a go. I have four more episodes left in season three, then it looks like I'm done. It just gets dumber and dumber.
I really should avoid this, as Ive only seen the first episode of season 5.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. It's very subjective, but I for one am pretty tired of Jesse sitting around with a blank expression and bloodshot eyes. There's got to be a better use for the character.

Well, it certainly has potential.
But if Hank can't rattle Jesse out of his "introspection" and into some concrete and relevant action, I will be sorely disappointed.

For Halloween Im going to shave my head (I did it last year for Bane) and chop my beard to a goatee, get a lab coat and respirator and be Walter White.
