Brian Bromberg Carvin Model Part 2

I've been toying with the idea of picking up a used B25 (had my eye on a certain white/white B25S until a certain egg person nabbed it!). I already have a B24S that I'm very comfy with now that I've gotten the hang of the preamp. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind going simple with, say, a B50 that I might keep mostly in passive mode (there's a purdy B50 in-stock at Carvin in white with passive-only setup that's quite tempting). But having gotten used to the super thin and comfy tung-oil finished neck of my B24S, I simply presumed that if I went a 5, the B25 would be the easiest for me to adjust to. You guys seem to have played and or have owned every Carvin bass put out in the last 10 years, any comments or advice would be appreciated.

Now that's how I figured they'd be! However, I guess the SB5000/B50 necks are on the thin side compared to most 5-ers. Maybe anything next to the SB5000s would feel "chuckier" even if they're not really "chucky."

+1. I've never felt any full scale 5 string with a neck as thin as an SB5000/B50. I actually find the B25 to be a bit more comfortable, for my personal tastes.

I was at the Hollywood store today to pick up my B25 from it's trip to San Diego. Lookie what I saw, fresh off the truck...

It's stunning in person.

Note: This is NOT my bass. It is one that is for sale at the store.

Ahhh, yeah, if that had been mine, I'd still be sick about it. It was magnificent!

They made me a new one and it looks, plays and sounds awesome. If I go the B24 route again, it'll be with the burl maple top. That should get you going...eh? ;)

As far as you would still be sick about it....you gotta let it go. In the grand scheme of life, it was nothing. Can't sweat the little stuff and especially, things you can't control.
