Thanks Schlyder! I really miss Bass On The Broadband as well, it was awesome! I would like to find a way to bring it back, maybe a subscription service if it's priced right? I just can't afford to do it out of my pocket any longer as it was a real radio station with real broadcast fee's! Ugh!

Hmmm... and I happen to work for a low-power FM in AZ that streams online and has reasonable rates.

I believe that when you have a terrestrial radio station broadcasting over the airwaves and you also stream, your rates are different then an internet only radio station. I had to pay Sound Exchange, BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, bandwidth, etc... I paid all the music licensing and it adds up when you are just a guy trying to have an internet radio station that plays copywritten music 24/7.....

I'm really enjoying using Amazing Slow Downer to understand what you are doing in 'It Is What It Is'! That main line theme is used, although overly, in Church shout and Gospel music. Hearing your variations really elevates it from redundant boredom to excitement! I can't wait to implement some of your ideas into the next shout opportunity!!

@Brian Bromberg - are you fretting with the thumb of your left hand? Playing a barre or something. Very interesting to see you pull your thumb to that side of the fingerboard.

Lol. I just watched the vid and was about to ask the same thing. It never occurred to me to fret that way. I know what I'm woodshedding tonight!

SiriusXM Watercolors is always playing your music. They should have you do a weekly show on there like Marcus Miller and Dave Koz. Everette Harp is one of my favorite sax players. Awesome show!.. I wish you could take that band on tour.

That album was my introduction to BB. Before that I'd heard his name but I'd never checked out his playing. Phenomenal.

It's a technique for playing high up the fingerboard on a double bass, called "Thumb Position" that Brian has brought to electric.
