It's another great Brian Bromberg CD!! Can you send me some of your bass playing talent that you don't use anymore? 
I really like Trials And Tribulations!! Great horn parts in a song are always a favorite of mine, and this songs is no exceptions. But the arrangement... the build up then an abrupt stop... then a brief pause...then the song starts again!!! Moving!! Powerful!!
Thanks Nightman, the name of the song says it all. It has to be powerful and dramatic. That "stop" is my favorite part of the song, glad you like it!
I'll just have to give this a listen next up, always learn something and get a lot of pleasure with every new BB recording.
I did very much indeed, followed it up with 'Metal'. Then did some work on a couple of my own tunes after the inspiration, using my piccolo strung with your tuning set ADGC from LaBella.

That's a old piccolo bass you got there! I haven't seen knobs like those in years!
That is 1 of my 4 1982 Carvin LB50 basses 3 in KOA and the other in Black. This one is the prettiest but least played, as it feels a bit stiff in comparison so the really light piccolo strings work well. I may be working with a producer that has a preference for flat or tape wound strings so this bass might be getting a set of Rotodound TruBass 66 Nylon Tapewounds the only "flats" I can stand. We'll see.
Thanks for the kind words Papersen. I remember that whole Buenos Aires trip, it was amazing, so was that big place that I did the clinic in, very cool. Nothing like it in the states. Those were really fun days for sure. So much energy for the bass guitar in those days. Lots of new ideas and talent out there.......
