Bridget Kearney and Lake Street Dive

If you don't know Lake Street Dive, do yourself a favor and get to know them. I think they are amazing. I'd heard of them before, but after hearing them live in St. Paul opening for Brandi Carlile (someone else you should know) I am a bit obsessed. Bridget Kearney is a MONSTER player on upright. The band is tight and grooves like crazy. Great vocals. Great playing.

Know That I Know and Hypotheticals are two great places to start. Look for current live versions. Enjoy!

Yeah, they are a pretty amazing band. "Good Kisser" was the first thing I heard from them. Fantastic.

Go back a little bit further to Joy Kills Sorrow. Yeah, I think she was born to be a bass monster.
