Because I don't want to have to work to add something back in. Theoretically, with the settings as they are, it should sound identical to my dry tone, for all intents and purposes. The pedal inherently cuts some frequencies it's not meant to, and now I have to figure out where those frequencies are and attempt to boost them back in. And who knows if I can even do that!

I guess Im still confused.

If you are looking for settings that sound similar to your dry tone, why use the pedal at all ?

I think they meant to the left, where the bass and mids are cut slightly, allowing for the bass knob to really be cranked without mud

Evidently he meant to the right, by specifically typing right when asked if he meant to the right...

The lo switch to the left scoops the mids, to the right applies a hpf, hence why I believe he enjoys being able to add back the lows when the switch is to the right.

Does anybody have both Monocle and Monocomp?

I understand the more versatile MC, but I’m curious if one can get the Monocomp to sound like the Monocle.

Turn down dry level and leave eq at noon?

Sounds correct in theory but what about practice?

Did you try switching jacks? I'm not at home to look, but theres interchangeable inputs/thru jacks on the preamps right?

You can get in the same ballpark but the Monocomp's attack is faster in comparison to the Monocle.
