Even with the hottest of passive basses 12 is still rather clean, that's also with the bass at 3 and treble at 1 o'clock. Remember the EQ is "interactive" as well, I'm pretty sure turning each of those up with cause your hair to come in earlier as well

Wow really? Even with a VERY low output bass (72 mustang), bass and treble at noon i get quite a bit of hair with the volume at 12 already

Usually it’s been either “once only” or “small batches once or twice a year”, but we’ll see...

Remember the SSDI only had a few released at first, now it's a staple. If I were him I'd want my original design out in the wild more than anything, there's hope I'm sure

For sure! It sounds like he's proud of it too with the description on the site, hah. But it seems like a more costly/time intensive build so it may not be super available until a little later... eh, what do I know. The SSDI took more than half a year to become readily available. In due time; there's always hope for a Broughton anyways. It's just a matter of patience.
