LPF is generally placed last in the chain, to help clean up any unwanted high frequency nastiness all the other pedals might have produced.
It ain't broke and it sounds so incredible that I'm not looking to see if it can sound more incredible...I'm happy with it as is. Plus I trust Josh and believe that his ability to choose a suitable tube for the device exceeds my ability to do the same and I'd be scared that my lack of knowledge would screw stuff up.
I wanna say I remember Josh posting that changing the tube in the ssdi wont make a difference.
Yeah its definitely one I really hadn't wanted to change, really only when I was having output issues did I think swapping it. Just didn't know how many had tried it, obviously this seller dabbled

You have remembered correctly. Same for the SuperStack. I never tried with the SSDI but I tried rolling in a vintage Phillips on the SS and there was 0 change. The same Phillips made a big change in my Archetype though.
My Archetype made it through the Chicago black hole! Hallelujah!! Wednesday is the delivery date now.
I'm with you on this breakdown. As a v1 and soon to be v3 owner.Okay here's the way I understand it, this is not official.
V1 = what you have. Original version.
V2 = same basic thing, but instead of EQ Bypass, there is a Mute switch.
V3 = the current version. Smaller box, one button, one mid control.

Was finally able to take out the SV-Pre in a (loud) band setting yesterday night, rather than just recording with it. And holy cow, it sounded most awesome. THANKS again to all those who suggested putting the compressor after the SV-Pre! It’s very touch-sensitive, you control how much growl you need simply by changing your attack, hand placement, or playing with the Tone knob on your guitar. Pushing the SV-Pre further with the Spark Booster made it sound aggressive and nasty (in a good way), perfect for our Metal / Heavy Rock cover band. Can't wait to incorporate the SV-Pre on my main board, and adding an LPF at the end of the signal chain.

It’s all a calculated input balance. The Joshwah is one of my favorite pedals. You need a small amount (always) of its own gain to trigger it but often I dial it way down. With the Transboost running it wakes up all my effects. I usually run it when I have the synth voice on. Or most of the time I’ll run the Calamity right after. It’s a perfectly adjustable muff to trigger the JoshWah.
I’ll run the dream crusher after at around 9-10 o’clock and man does it gurgle.

Thanks that sounds like a LOT of fun. Can’t wait to put my Calamity in front of some envelope filters when I get it. That and my FlipTop from the original drop are still in their unopened Canada Post boxes waiting for me, lol

Wow, another mod station, how many of those were made? You typically run a scooped sound?
