Broughton Audio Super Thread

Dope. I would absolutely commission a couple two tree of these from you. You could run a side bizness of making these I'm sure.
Thanks, I don't want to get in trouble with the commercial rules but if @kranahan needed something small made I can hook him up. I'm not even going into how its made, or the memes will follow.. :roflmao:

I have my bass (Lakland 44-14) set with a fairly low output and have even been using it in passive mode. So the Saturn probably brings it up to a “normal” active bass volume. But if I change settings I’ll keep your info in the back of my mind.
I’m fully passive but I gain stage incessantly on my board. My last one is boosted slightly above unity so that could’ve been my issue as well

What’s a decent combo amp

You should get one with an effects loop. It doesn't look like the new Ampeg RocketBass amps have them, but there are some Ampeg BA-115v2's left and they have effects loops. Otherwise, the little Fender Rumble 100 also has an effects loop.

Edit: I've been corrected. The Rocket Bass RB-112, 115 and 210 all have effects loops.

So I've been using an always on HPF in my pedal board for a while and realized that I may like it more after my rack tube preamp instead on before. The premise being to let subsonic low end affect the tube saturation and generate harmonic content, then HPF out the actual sub frequencies. Does that make sense to anybody else?.
Since they're so small, I'm able to keep my HPF and multi band compressor pedal mounted inside the back of my 2U rack bag, wired thru the preamp's effect loop switched to instrument signal level.
Kinda nice having these two anyways on effects buried in the rack but still accessible and adjustable.
