Broughton Audio Super Thread

I don’t need it to be too loud, I just want it to not take up so much room as my RS212. I never gig, very Seldom ever jam with friends. I really only struggle to play Stevie wonder when I do turn my amp on.

the new Ampegs look neat, but I wonder how much difference there is between those and the other class d combo amps besides looks.
Could you get away with a headphone amp? Or do you want something that makes noise in the room?

I don't know why I offered advice on combo amps... I really have pretty limited experience here. I picked up a Fender Rumble 25 before Christmas but haven't had too much opportunity to use it. It's bedroom/livingroom level at best. And with a single 8" speaker the tone will never rattle the windows. I tried the Rumble 15 but it was barely loud enough to keep up with 2 acoustic guitars.

I want the option to do both, and these days that’s not hard to come by.

Ampeg just came out with their new Rocketbass combos, possibly could be a winner. I tried Fenders rumble a while back, broke the month it was out of warranty, but up until that point it was ok, very light. Over the years SWRs Super Red Head was my absolute favorite
Yeah the new Ampegs have my eye. I’m a fan of Yamaha basses, so new Ampeg products in their era of Yamaha ownership interest me by proxy. TC Electronic makes a good amp too, their 112 combo would be sweet.

If you thought a combo amp question was a dumb, then here goes one that will surely top it!

I'm looking to put a single pedal on a single pedal pad or board. Does anyone know of a company that carries something like that? Yes, I could put Vecro on a piece of wood and make it work but I want something with some craftsmanship.

I found a company called West Coast Pedal Board. The single board/pad can be seen in this Mantic Density Hulk video:

Are there any other options?

Here’s maybe an equally dumb question: why?

I tried to avoid the why questions with my reply. I guess it didn't work.:laugh:

I'm going to move my headphone amp (Darkglass Element) off my board and onto a desk. I like the propped up angle for visibility, messing with levels and plugging cables in and out. Also, it's nice to have the pedal attached to something heavier and/or bigger when plugging cables in and out, at least in my experience.

This is technically a pedalboard riser, but I think it would do the trick for you.

I know this is big, but I could cut something for you and use standoffs. Its more of a display/home use only, but I can make it any size you'd like. I have some pretty thick stock in at the moment. Are you planning on keeping the same pedal in it or change it out as needed?

Dope. I would absolutely commission a couple two tree of these from you. You could run a side bizness of making these I'm sure.
