Broughton Audio Super Thread

Does someone here have a little (recording/live) pedalboard revolving around the Messenger. I'm looking for some inspiration

It doesn't add any color, just imagine a super transparent onboard preamp, but on the floor. I've always thought of the messenger character being, well, it's features instead of some baked in character. It controls rather than gives, a true tool - NOT to put it down, It's one pedal that I can say I always have running (mainly acting as a headphone amp and H/LPF)
^ this. Messenger works best as a controller/fine tuner for the rest of your chain. Put it last in line for recording, you get all the EQ and filtering you’d find in a DAW except it’s on the floor. It’s not “transparent” in tone, it’s completely utterly colorless, but that’s a good thing when you want to be really specific about frequency points for cutting & boosting

Messenger V1 is pretty much my ultimate recording/live pedal, need another one for backup lol

Awesome board, love the aesthetics there, everything just fits

thank you!

Underneath is crowded and not quite as pretty but I had a lot to squeeze in there.
There’s some of the temple led lights mounted underneath too for the cool spaceship glow when plugged in.

There is a V2 on the verb now. N/A

here’s how I’m using my messenger v1.
The pedals are mounted to the lid of a 4 space rack which holds a power amp and power supplies for everything.
The 1/4” output of the messenger feeds the power amp and the xlr output feeds the house.

the lids come off the rack, plug in power from the wall, plug into a cab and get down to business.

I routed my board different and am now noticing a subtle high pitch whine from the ETDI pedal version. Only change made is putting it under the board next to a cioks7. Any brough pros have any ideas what that might be? Possible tube?
