Broughton Audio Super Thread

Does someone here have a little (recording/live) pedalboard revolving around the Messenger. I'm looking for some inspiration
It doesn't add any color, just imagine a super transparent onboard preamp, but on the floor. I've always though of the messenger character being, well, it's features instead of some baked in character. It controls rather than gives, a true tool - NOT to put it down, It's one pedal that I can say I always have running (mainly acting as a headphone amp and H/LPF)

I also copped an extremely discounted LA-1A off Reverb on Saturday that I might have otherwise passed up, so I must say missing the Archetype drop was among my best fails ever

You are having a good run of crushed dream buys. Love my LA-1A. Only regret is that I bought it new and two days after purchasing my new one, a "Brimarized" LA-1A showed up used on Reverb at a non-Brimarized price. Would have snagged that one instead.

The SVPre is priced very nicely. Someone should grab that too. Won’t find a better SVT type pedal at that price.

Thanks for the marketing. After reviewing some recent sale threads, I reduced the price of the Parametric EQ and Ictineo as well. Might have been a touch high on those to start with. I may bump them down more if they stick around for a week or two. Seems unlikely they will be around that long, but who knows. Black Friday week is probably not the optimal time for me to be selling pedals. Pulled them off my board over the weekend though, so now I want them off of my desk.

That's about as perfect a description as one could ask for.

I currently don't have either v1 or v3 Messenger on my board now in favor of the S1, but I would probably put one of them on for gigs over the S1.

Maybe it’s just bc I don’t have a bunch of preamps stacked on one board, but I feel like the EQ is so sensitive (in a good way, maybe deliberate is a better word?) that bc it’s naturally so transparent it turns whatever bass I have plugged in, into a chameleon. Like I can pull so many different sounds out of it just tweaking the EQ and HP/LP filters. That’s why my Mess Jr. will always be my last pedal on any board I use, add in the EQ mute switch and now I can bring one bass but have “two” with one stomp.
