Browsing Classifieds - What Are You Looking For?

Finding myself frequently in the Classifieds, I often wonder what I’m there for beyond a distraction to kill time. Shouldn’t I be doing something better with my time? I have a substantial amount of gear I’m happy with, shouldn’t I be writing music instead?

What do you browse the classifieds for? You can only choose three options. Perhaps this has been done before but I’d be interested where your heads are at, especially if you spend a good amount of time on this forum.

I look for unusual and uncommon basses myself. The kind of weird thing that I'm not sure how I would find otherwise. I have a lot of great basses that I play regularly, so now I'm only looking for things that are unique and strange to add to my collection. The type of thing I can pull out at a jam and turn heads. Conversation pieces if you will.

Usually I do a search for 6-strings, then see if anything has a 33” scale, then if it’s one of the few brands I’m interested in.

fender precision "iron maiden" edition. before the steve harris signature. lake placid blue with the red mirrored pickguard. i let one get away last year for a reasonable price; which never happens. they're usually like 1300 bucks or more for very well used, when they rarely come up. I keep hoping ill find another one for a fair asking price.... but it'd never going to happen.

Hahaha amazing! Unfortunately I have to buy a new car this month, and I don't think I can ride that work (though the idea of riding a pterodactyl to work appeals to me greatly).

According the the luthier who made it in a thread about the bass, it's the only one in existence.

My daughter asked me the other day if she could ride a pterodactyl to school. She's 6 and learning the bass. I showed her that bass and her jaw dropped.
