And the Red Hot Chili Peppers worked when they mashed Give It Away in with an entirely different stage persona and style. The show was up there with Prince's set in the rain storm

It wasn't bad but when the RCHP came in, it felt like a sore thumb and just for one song ... at least the song didn't suck.

Bruno put a show with his pop music.

Not a bad half time show. Big step up from Madonna or Beyonce. At least there was a band out there.

Lip Synced ? Your glasses need redone. Oh - and who said the bass was unplugged ? Missed the cord to the pack ? - in plain view many times.

Bruno's bass player had a wireless rig at least, You could clearly see Flea's empty output jack.

There were some obvious spots were the bass line was slap and the bassist was not slapping. Although Bruno did a damn nice job lip syncing if he was not doing it live.

Overall I thought it was good though. Nice dance moves and a drum solo...

yep i pointed that slap part out to my wife..lol

rewatch with your rose colored glasses...there are sections where he was playing fingerstyle while the track sounded like slap bass...i love the show but it was def synced

As always a bunch of critics. Haters gonna hate. Bruno killed it. Great live performance. I guess they prerecorded Brunos part during the Chilli Peppers?
Looked like it was real and not lip synced to me!

Bruno had moves like James Brown. He did the splits and popped back up, swiveled his feet around, spins. Definitely an entertainer.

Yep, I think in the first photo posted an audience member has their hand covering the jack in such a way that it looks empty.

Whether it was live or pre-recorded...it isn't a reflection on the artists at all IMO as we all know every dude on the stage is great at what they do and can pull that stuff of live no problemo. The networks make the rules, and if you want the exposure, ya gotta follow the rules.

I have...lots...of teenage daughters, so I have heard plenty of Bruno. The ballad they closed with sounded rushed, and the lyrics were kinda out of sync. Like, humans messing up. I think this show might have been live.
