Bugera Veyron Now Available

It's a single knob. They are probably combining multiple compressor/limiter features into a single knob and they may be doing multi-band compression where bass compresses differently than mid and high frequencies. It may be to much to document and explain over them just to say "Just try different settings"
There's a lot of single knob doing multiple settings going on these days. Check their TC line. Minimum number of knobs, but the knobs that are there do a lot more than yesterday's heads.

Ok, that's "plausible"....

Here's the thing.......

Midas
Klark Teknik
Behringer
Bugera
Eurocom
Turbosound
TC Electronic
TC-Helicon
Lake
Lab.gruppen
Tannoy
TC Applied Technologies

The above is a list of companies that fall under the "B-Word" company's porfolio. I guess that there's no chance at all that there's even one engineer associated with ANY of those entities that knows how to design a compressor......

I really like my Veyron M head. Better than I liked my Peavey T-MAX, Hartke 3500 MOSFET, SWR 550X, and better than my pre/power combo consisting of a Crown Drivecore XLS1000 and BBE 383 preamp. And I did enjoy all the ones I just mentioned. I prefer the tone and power of the Veyron. A couple days ago I received a Behringer X Air X18 and a Eurolive B115D. I'm really liking them both so far. I also got rid of a Sansamp Programmable Bass Drive in favor of a BDI21. I guess what I'm saying is that I have no issues with Behringer as a company and their gear that I have experience with.

Just trying to get this thread back on track. Happy thumping.

Hey, I'm not the one who can't get an answer from them - not that I want or need one.

Then why are you here? I mean, none of the information in the thread is of benefit to you. Just stirring the pot? By the way, take this with you....

Klark Teknik - Compressors

Midas - Compressors

TC Electronic has compressors built into their bass amps. They also make stomp box compressors. Yep, the ONLY reason why the folks at Bugera couldn't provide an answer is because they didn't design the compressor in the Veyron amps just like you said. That makes a LOT of sense to me now as they obviously don't have enough intellectual property under their own roof to be able to make their own. You're absolutely right!

I don't think they owned Midas when they built the Bugera amps.

Did they own, Klark Teknik? TC Electronic? None of the other companies that are under their umbrella have the ability to make a compressor? Why does it even matter to you what my thoughts were regarding not getting an answer? Hmmm? I've got to head out. I'll happily answer any of your additional responses when I return....

They didn't own TC Electronic nor the entire TC Group yet either when the Veyrons came out.

You are correct about TC Electronic. That acquisition took place in 2015. This right here states that Klark Teknik purchased Midas in 1987 and that Music Group acquired Klark Teknik in 2009.

Klark Teknik - Wikipedia

Midas appears to have been acquired in the same year as the Klark Teknik deal, 2009.

Midas Consoles - Wikipedia

This states that the Veyron amps were introduced at the NAMM show of 2014.
