Bugera Veyron Now Available

Start some mess for, I don't know, just because you felt like it. Stretched more than Reed Richards during most of what you had to say. Now, you claim that I want to dominate you. Makes all kind of sense....

Behringer stole others' intellectual property not once, but several times. No stretch there. As for the customer service people, they either don't know the answer or are unwilling to give the answer (I strongly suspect the former - that's an opinion). No stretch there. I haven't even mentioned their chronic reliability issues.

OK, you love B-word. I'm amongst many others who don't. Sorry if I stepped on your toes.

Reed, I don't give a _______ what you love or don't love! Do you get that? Why were you SO concerned about what I said about getting an answer? Why does it matter SO much to you? You've got no love for the "B-Word" company, right? Why waste your time? Go somewhere else! Talk to someone about what you love rather than trying to nit pick an answer that someone got from a customer support group!

You don't have a clue as to how the compressor was designed. You were just throwing something against the wall to see if it would stick. That's all....

How'd I know you'd be back?

The same way that I knew that you would.......

It's a Talkbass tradition to negatively participate in threads you otherwise have no interest in. That's not new. It is allowed. I don't know if the idea is to get a thread shut down or what. Adding misinformation doesn't help but that's usually a component too. My favorite was a competitor liking some misinformation that was being spread about a company I worked with. Seemed like a thoroughly low class move but hey, maybe it made his products look better.
:D

Behringer is an easy target. If you really look at their actual history you'll find that they prevailed in many cases. But that doesn't stop people from portraying them as the devil.

The Veyron amps are a great example of naysayers trying to convince others how bad or unreliable a product will be without having any actual experience with that model. There's no shame in that game and it is also allowed to happen. People stalk mentions of products they literally have no personal interest in using to disparage them. Affectionately known as TB Experts.

Like I said, nothing new. It's a feature, not a bug.

Just FYI, I own a piece of Behringer gear. Nonetheless, Behringer's reputation is what it is with or without my commentary.

Cool. What does that actually have to do with subject of this thread, a specific pair of bass amps? Not the entire history of Behringer.

Any experience with the Veyrons? Any insight on their performance or reliability?

Behringer's reputation may be what it is but are you unaware of any hyperbole in regards to folks who constantly beat the negativity drum? I'm not... it's consistent and predictable.

Look at the Midas comment. Behringer has owned them for going on ten years yet them not owning them that long was offered as proof that Behringer wouldn't have had access to their IP during the development of the Veyrons. Which wasn't true. Which begs the question... why even bother to go out on that limb? Do facts matter?

That's my issue with this tact. Of course people are allowed to do what they do but IMO if people want to educate others in a cautionary fashion it helps to be factual.

i have the mosfet version that i bought here on the TB classifieds...i love it...sounds great and puts out stupid amounts of power (don't care what it's rated at)...and it weighs in at like 7 lbs....awesome!

That was my experience with mine. Never had any issues, performed flawlessly every time.

Over the course of time I had mine I got to directly A/B them with most of the heavy hitters out there. Mesa, Genz Benz, Genzler, Bergantino, Aguilar, Eden, SWR, GK, Markbass, TC, Tec Amp, Ashdown, etc. Never came up short. I did find an amp that I consider the next level (Quilter BB800) and that's what I've been using. That doesn't change the fact that the Veyrons are extremely solid products IME. I got lots of compliments with mine.

Hi Brad,

The fact I am looking at both of my Kustom KBX 500 and Veyron M is the a testament of how I value the opinion of gig musicians like yourself. Despite of occasional disagreements I have seen, this forum is the greatest place for a newbie like me. Thank you for your advise and suggestions!

Hi ebozzz,

When I asked a question of compression ratio of my new amp, I would have never guessed that it turned out to be the way had been. Thank you so much for trying to help me! I really appreciate it!

Thanks, just trying to pass on info about gear I've had very positive experiences with. I still have my KXB500, it still sounds great. Glad to help.

Man, I wish that I had the opportunity to do as many comparisons as you but in my market, it's harder due to the lack of gear diversity.

We don't have much selection in this market either but I have friends who like to get together and compare gear. It's a great way to know what something does in your hands. The other thing is that I will buy things I haven't heard or played as long as there's a decent return policy or I get it so far below market that I can't get hurt. I played a Veyron as soon as it hit Washington Music Center. I bought my Kustom KXB500 when GC was blowing them out. I bought an Industrial Strength Industries 8+10 cab for $300. And so on.
