I've repaired 3 of the Veyron tube models. the three 12ax7 heaters are wired in series, but the circuit is apparently supplying ~44 volts (which is too high). I'm guessing they use that voltage on the SS models preamp as +/- 18v with regulators. the excess heat on the preamp tubes does something gnarly in that aluminum box and I've had to re-flow joints.
there are dropping resistors in the start and end of the heater circuit, and I considered raising them to bring the level down, but have no idea of the current capability of the supply, and didnt want to add another heat making device so I left it alone.
the stock Bugera tubes are hit or miss, but (suprisingly) the JJs I put in one didnt last long at all.

I'm ready to be corrected here, but this is where reputation comes into play - as any more I automatically assume that if I see something from Behringer, or their most closely associated sub-brands, that it's just a reverse engineered clone of something else. Can you argue that there isn't a history there? Reputations are hard to change.
