Was literally coming here to suggest Alpher! I have that same bass (but with brass block frets as well) and it is simply perfect.
Well said.Assuming you already decided to spend it, buy your self something nice and buy your wife something shiny.
A! I do not. I have a violin that I've grown up with and yes, I know it's not the same thing. Just that I have absolutely thought about pulling the trigger for a DB.nowhere in here did you say that you have an upright![]()
This is a great idea. A.Cheap P bass and the road trip of a lifetime playing it everywhere you can think of .and give it some dude at the end of the trip . Keeps the wife happy as well .
I'll take an F . Never any good at school anyway .
That is a really cool guitar! I nice take on a T style. Thanks. GAS.If you're looking at guitars, check this builder... HOME •![]()
All cool. I've looked hard at Serek, great basses. Never played a Dunable but heard good things.First off! A Serek Lincoln or Sacramento or BOTH: Welcome to Serek Basses
Great inspiration/discussion can be found here: Serek Owners/Fan Club
Next, a Dunable Thunderclapper!

And, if you’re feeling generous, you could buy me a Davis Guitar Works Mike Rutherford Doubleneck replica
Davis Guitar Works - Luthier for Custom Rickenbacker Guitars
So a Yamaha BBP and a $8000/night Hooker?Dude, you don't need another bass, you need vices.
...the road trip of a lifetime...
Background for your assignment:
I have basses and amps and guitars and P and J and fretless and fretted and ABG and 4 and 5 string and semi hollow and active and passive. And a ton of pedals.
I have no debt aside from mortgage and that’s almost finished too. Kids college is covered and thanks to 1 academic and 1 athletic scholarship I didn’t even use what we saved for education. My car is paid for. Point is, don’t come back with savings or investment advice or you’ll receive a C-.
In September I’m getting $10,000 that’s not a commission, not a paycheck or any part of my salary. Nice problem to have, sure. And my wife doesn’t even like “stuff” let alone bass stuff. I don’t need to spend it all but I have been thinking it would be fun to get a bass that I don’t have or necessarily need but something kinda cool.
So hit me up. What should I get for No Reason?
And if y’all don’t give me any great ideas I’ll just get a Kenny Wayne Shepherd Stratocaster, bound and blocked, looks like a Jazz bass sort of. So technically it’s up to you to maintain the bass/guitar universal balance.
GO!

Dude, you don't need another bass, you need vices. What's that line, vices are the spices of life or something?
Like the old joke, spend half the money on likker and wimmen and the other half foolishly.
