Ok, the pics of the bass that he purchased from had no drill holes for the pickup cover. One of the pics that he sent me shows the bass with a pickup cover on it. Meaning, in his possession , the pickup cover had been added.

Do you think the description of the bass in your FS thread was accurate?

As a private seller, I don't hold myself to GC standards. While I would give a refund if an obvious issue was found in a reasonable period of time, 5 weeks isn't reasonable. When you add to that a change in ownership, then the seller has no way to know when the more serious issue occurred.

Take the bass to a competent luthier. He may be able to fix the neck. The holes are solved by ordering a new pick guard.

Weather the bass is fixable or not isnt the issue. The trade was pristine for pristine. Seabass's offering was represented as such but wasnt. Sessions was. Thats all there is to it.

My camera lense is broken and I used the pics from the ad that Seabassman sent me. That's my bad. It was a busy time and it was an honest mistake, which I honed up to. I offered him a refund before he had a chance to ask, btw.

All the variables, the way it happened, same climated the whole way, the truss rod issues jiving with the other neck issue. Session does very little tinkering on his instruments. Sea has history of modding.

Wow this is better than reality TV!. I can see where everyone is coming from. I've had issues with some dealings here but all in all I'd rather do it in our own little community. I take full responsibility for anything I sell/trade even if it was passed unknown to me.I'd like to think that others would do the honorable thing by me...but I'm old school. Edit . I shouldn't say so, what. I explained to Jared that I used the other pics because I dropped my phone and cracked the lense. Heck, it's still that way but I know not to be so lazy. I should've known better.

How much feedback do you need to have on here to no longer be able to "look out for the little guy" or wherever the heck you are trying to go with that? I don't think you trying to imply that having a lot of feedback is indicative of anything more than having many successful transactions if going to get you any where.

You haven't really gone much into your efforts in trying to trade back. Other than the guy who has your bass did some mods to it, and he no longer thinks its a fair trade. Its not fair to sell a bass and not disclose issues, but man, if I buy a bass on here with the intention of modding it, I'm not waiting 45 days to do what I want to it.

Believe it or not, I've had a guy buy a bass from me, break it, then demand that I pay to fix it.....
