Buyer/Trader Beware on TB !

What does that matter as long as the misrepresentation was discovered with in a reasonable time. GC gives 45 days, Sweetwater stands behind there sales for two years with a 45 day no questions asked exchange. I was a week within those standards, regardless if I sold it to anyone else and they discovered the problem.

As a private seller, I don't hold myself to GC standards. While I would give a refund if an obvious issue was found in a reasonable period of time, 5 weeks isn't reasonable. When you add to that a change in ownership, then the seller has no way to know when the more serious issue occurred.

Take the bass to a competent luthier. He may be able to fix the neck. The holes are solved by ordering a new pick guard.

It matters very much for reasons we've discussed ad nauseam. By selling it, you accepted that it was yours to sell. You assumed all responsibility for its condition regardless of anything that may have happened or had been done to it before you owned.

The moderator just tried to tell me that 30 days is the industry standard but the reality is 45 days. I was a week within that timeframe when I contacted him about the discovery.
