Bypass compressor?

I need a compressor for my rig. I have a few songs I slap on and when I do my volume goes through the roof. So I'm looking for suggestions for a compressor. I am also very picky about my regular tone so I need true bypass.

So what do you recommend?

As bongomania stated, if you do a search, there have been heaps of compressor threads.

My recommendation however is the Aphex Punch Factory. Very clean, transparent compressor with some cool features. You can power it off just about anything that will fit in the power jack, has LEDs to show your DB levels and a few other goodies such as DI output etc.. I picked mine up used but in mint condition for about $70 US.
