It’s not working Mike.
I’ve sent you a link to my own Dropbox folder.
Please can you just copy the file from your Dropbox into mine?
I'm on the road trying to help you from my phone.

When I get home, if you still have problems with the download, I will do that.

@BatBasstard - Correct me if I'm wrong of course, but from your screenshots it looks like you're trying to download on a mobile device...? Maybe that's the problem? Have you tried an actual computer?

5sg.

I eventually got it to work on the eighth or ninth try.
I find that my iPad & iPhone are so practical & powerful these day I use my iMac & Macbook so rarely - essentially only for video rendering and that’s less than once a month.

I saved the files into the cloud and transferred them to my Zoom B6 via Bluetooth directly from my iPhone

Those Youtube sound samples do sound good, but man 49 Euros is a lot of dough for a handful of cab IRs.

I considered this too before buying.
But after all they are amp + cab (non only cab) and the price is almost the same of others (around 10 bucks for IR). The difference is here it's non possible to buy a single IR individually.
Also considering I searched for long a digital Tonehammer clone but I didn't found it and they have Aguilar DB761 + 4x10 DB410 I made the purchase.

I'm quite new to IR world. I have a question:
IR are cab sim but I see many IR loaders have their own EQ section.
So why not a simple portable connection: bass>ir pedal with internal eq>mixer
without an expternal preamp?

Also, on the other side why to have EQ section in the IR loader if you have a pream?

Thank you very much

You could absolutely use this type of IR loader without an external preamp. It would be the virtual world equivalent of running into a clean, perfectly linear power amp and into the mic'd speaker cabinet of your choosing (the IR itself).
That said, many people prefer using cabinet IR technology because their preamp tone does include some level of distortion that needs to be tamed by a speaker cabinet, or otherwise some surgical filtering.
Otherwise, a good EQ with HPF & LFP could very well do just as well if you are looking for pristine, clean bass tone, provided that the level coming off of your bass is strong enough to properly drive the input of the IR device, otherwise you may need to jack up the input of the device to a point where it becomes noisy, indicating that you do need to preamp for the input level to be proper.

Other than the above scenario, a post-EQ is helpful for tailoring the IR tone so that it sonically behaves in the (subjective) manner preferred. A lot of players who use IR technology like to have their simulated cabinet tone be plug-and-play for the FOH/Monitor engineer as a practical matter when time is of the essence.

Many IR captures, though they originate from a mic'd cabinet, are not necessarily "mix ready". In the real world, a mic'd cabinet would still need a bit of EQ for it to sound proper in the band mix for a lot of reasons. For the end user, faithful IR tech needs to be monitored using speakers that are as close to full range and flat response as possible since that is the ultimate destination. Post EQ on the IR device itself allows the end user to do much of the work ahead of time, assuming they have the proper equipment and skill to understand the type of tone shaping that is helpful to FOH in performance situations.

Folks I'm looking for options for an IR Loader pedal that accepts standard 3rd party IR files (48k, 24 bit WAV etc) has affected output and unaffected output and runs of 9 volt pedal power supply. Below is what I come up with that are commonly available - can anyone think of anything Ive missed?

Shift Line Cabzone
Nux Solid Studio
Joyo Cab Box
Hot one Omni IR

I'm new to IR word and I'm in the same position.
Please consider I'm unexperienced on IR and I'm not having the device yet, but I think I'll go with Hotone Omni IR:

PRO:
  • supereasy to use
  • internal EQ
  • ground lift
  • DI Out
  • designed & with a good number of preinstalled IR even for bass
  • it includes all cables (usb, power)
CONS:
  • all the 39 slots are busy with pre-installed IR (you must remove some of them to place your 3rd party IR files, it's not a big problem because for example you can remove preinstalled guitar IR and reinstall them later if you want)
  • it seems it reduces a bit the original input volume
  • it seems me it allows only one active IR so it's not possible to run on it 2 different IR together (one for cab and one for power amp). Maybe, if you want to do this, you must prepare first a merge single file on PC with some specific 3rd party SW I think.

Joyo Cab Box is also a very good option but out of my budget.

Other option is a unbalanced IR loader and add a passive DI box for balanced and thru out. (for this scenario I'm considering m-vave cubebaby bass version as a low budget solution).
