Calling all Little Mark II owners.

For all of the Canadians watching out there, I just picked up a LMII in Ottawa at the Lauzon Music Centre. Their original price was $699.99, but they were willing to match Gutars Italmelodies (located in Quebec) price of $649.99. Oh, BTW ... they are now sold out :)

Now all I need is for my EA NL-210 (4 ohm) to come in ...

I got a LMII a couple weeks back and upgraded to the SD800.
Didn't care much for it so I exchanged it back for the same LMII and am quite happy with it. At first I decided the LMII was redundant to my TF550 being about the same output and similar controls and performance just with a different vibe.

Well, it turns out I really love them both.

Epi 410UL: TF fantastic. LMII really good.
Berg BMS: TF good. LMII very very good.
Berg NV215: TF just ok. LMII fantastic (really suprised me)
Sadowsky SA410: TF really good. LMII very very good.

I'm anxoius to try the LMII with a NL210 and 310UL which I've read here are very good.

So for now, I'm keeping both.

So I'm assuming "very very" is better than "really"? ;)

Anyway, I'm going to be gigging with my new LMII and a pair of 8 ohm NL-210's next weekend (26,27). I'll probably hook them up for a preview tonight, but can't crank'em, since it'll be in my basement, so not a great test, but also not bad for a basic idea.

I expect to be impressed.

Got my LMII in the mail yesterday- out of box, of course :hmm: :D

Great amp. Way punchier than my last setup. At first I was disappointed that the lows didn't have the dark low-mids I like- after some knob twiddling, I found I could get that along with a lot of other differing, usable tones. The knobs actually DO something on this amp- nothing is so subtle that it serves little purpose, as I've had with a few other amps. I think me and this amp are going to be friends.

It fits in my gigbag :hyper: It slides in easy and is a bit tight coming out, but with the bag being leather, I think it will stretch the tiny bit over time to make it pull out easity. Very cool. I think my new setup is going to be this:

LMII sitting on top of my shallow effects rack with two open spaces. My MIDI foot controller along with my tuner, etc. fit into the empty spaces perfectly, so now I can use the spaces rather than another bag. I liked my stereo setup, but I sure like not having to use all those cables- the Barge Concepts VFB-X pedal should take care of whatI I needed the stereo rig for anyways once it comes out. I just have to replace my big volume pedals with micro ones now.

As far as I know we're still on track for an early summer release. Guitar Center will be carrying the F1 and the Minimark (both as of early summer), the Micromark may come a bit later. As a delay is still possible, I'm reluctant to give a firm ETA. I've learned my lesson before!

Just for about 10 minutes this evening before I cooked dinner- man, I thought it punched before....

I've got to adjust the rod a bit tonight before playing with it more- the temperature/humidity changes have been crazy up here the last week or two (50 the other day, 85 today), and I adjusted the other two basses yesterday.

I've been through an older thread discussing bag options. I was wondering what some of you guys are using. (BTW, that's cool Bryan that it fits in the gigbag.)

I was thinking about this one (small). Dimensions are very close.

I own a GigSkins Bag. The inside of mine is very plush and has a strap that velcro's across a piece of gear. My bag doesn't look exactly like the one on the photo on the website however. It's close but the outer pockets are different. I'm not sure if it's the same bag. I really like my bag a lot. I got mine a couple years ago and used it for my Mesa Walkabout head. But I haven't tried it with my MarkBass LMII since I have an even smaller case that works great. (The case I'm using for my LMII now was for a small portable overhead projector.) Gary
