Cool. The Gig Skinz bag looks sweet and should fit fine and have some good room for cords. I'll probably check out some of the local office supply stores for laptop bags to see if I can get something comparable, but less expensive.

The Markbass amp bags are now available for order from any Guitar Center (at the moment you have to ask for them though). I'm not sure how many are in stock or what the price is, but you could inquire to your closest GC and have them look it up.
They have two straps on the back which allow you to use it as a "backpack", the amp can stay in the bag during use, and there's a pouch on the back for cables, etc.

There's a small one for the Little Mark II, and a large one that fits the SD800/TA501.

I like the idea of opening the back and front and just leaving the amp in the bag for protection.
However, doesn't it have an open window on the side.
The other thing is, I personally like to sling my amp over my head and shoulder using a shoulder strap, wear my bass in a gigbag on the other side or using both backpack straps, and then carry a light cab. Now, that's if I'm trying to hump it in one trip. If not, then it's no big deal b/c I could use the handle or the backpack straps. Just different strokes. Main thing I'm wondering about is the open side. Hard to tell on the website.

I was thinking more about this.
Couldn't you run either your TF into the LMII power section or visa versa like using two TF's ???
Another thought, I have a Radial JDI that is a great little unit. Unless I'm using my DB750 which has a Jensen in it, I always use my jensen equipped JDI when going to out mixer direct from my bass when using the TF or LMII. (We always have the 48v phantom on and it can't be isolated in the xlr buss). The JDI has a 'thru' that patches into the instrument jack. Anyway that would free up your DI on the LMII and you might have to use an adapter to take the signal to a slave power amp. I could be 'all wet' here..

I tested this theory using the Effects Send from my Mesa Walkabout head. I ran the Effects send from the Mesa Walkabout into the Power Section of the LMII. WOW!#$!!! It worked like a charm and sounded awesome. I got the tubey, sweet tone from the Mesa Walkabout, with the headroom and power of the LMII feeding my Bergie HT112/EX112 mini-stack. No reason you couldn't do this with the TF driving the LMII.

But the bottom line is that the LMII/Bergie Ministack is just SO good the way it is, I don't really need the IP112 as much as I want one. Gary

Now.. if Vic wants to use his LMII as the pre and slave out the power maybe the JDI or similar will work for him. I figure if he's going to 'split' the DI signal an dedicated DI would be better in front with a 'thru'

Well, first, there is no input to the power section of the LMII... at least not directly. Probably the closest thing to it would be to change the efx loop to series and use the send as a preamp out and the return as a power amp in. Problem is, those aren't as hot as I'd like them for this purpose, and may not be hot enough to extract all the power from all amps.
I did the DI out to power amp thing, and I have to really crank the knobs to really drive the power amp, and it's a Stewart, so if I had a "hungry" power amp, like a PLX, I'm pretty sure I'd be losing a lot of potential power output.
The other thing that I'm finding is I'm missing the level control on the efx loop and the DI... a direct side-effect of these experiments.
The bottom line is, there doesn't seem to be a good way to use it as a preamp. Outputs just aren't as hot as I'd like for that purpose.

So the price raise did affect my deposit. lol. Over $100 increase in LM2 price effective May 1. So i'm getting a SA450 which is now cheaper. LOL. I think i'm destined not to have an LM2.
What? I thought dude said it wouldn't affect LMII!? Shouldn't affect you cuz you already put a deposit down. That's wrong even if it did change the price of the LMII.
If it was me, and I had a deposit on something, and they wanted to charge me more than what my deposit was against, I'd drop the sale on principle alone. I don't think that's right. A deposit should lock the sale in at the price at the time of the deposit. IMHO.

Got mine May 6th- no price increase. Maybe your GC guy is trying to pull an extra bill off of you...
For the sake of clarity where are you and where are you buying? I think I know but others may not.
Well I went out looking for bags the other day for my LM-II. All I could find locally were some really cheap (crap) laptop bags, or some really nice expensive ones with too many pockets and junk. So being the cheap bastard I am, I bought a cheap (crap) one and here's what I did to it..
Started out with this lovely looking POS..
I then thought it could use a more solid base, so I whipped this up out of some thin MDF I had lying around..
Then I figured there's a hell of a lot of room in the bag, so I thought I'd whip up a frame to go predominately around the LM-II which would be padded to hold it in place, so here it was in bit's and put together..
Then painted and glued to the base..

And voila! It's done, I made the frame smaller than the base so I could have a bit of room down the sides for cables, then I can fill the top pocket with a big bit of foam for some extra support..
Cheap and nasty but it does the job!

Looks good to me! Is it very heavy? For such a light head I'd hate to add too much weight in whatever case I end up using.Cheap and nasty but it does the job!
For now I've been throwing it in a gigbag pocket or in a backpack wrapped with towels for padding.
Thats Just ripping U off MAN! If U put a deposit on it should be on the price for which the item was when the deposit was laid down.
Have at 'em!!!! Don't let 'em get away with this & get yr LMII-if thats what U want!
