Hey guys, im looking into buing a LMII and i have a couple questions:
-Do any of you guys use it for rock/punk? any good in this area of music?
-My Trace Elliot cabs won't be powerful enough for the LMII at full power (they are both 200W at 8ohm)
could i just use one 500W+ 4ohm cab instead and still get out the full power or does it require 8ohm cabs?(it's been a couple year ago since i got my rig, and its all slipped...
)
-What cab would you reccomend for the LMII that fits^^^? also, i can't afford too much, as i dont really have much money other than what i'd get for the Trace cabs. Max £400ish

The LMII can run 4 ohms or more, so one 8 ohm cab, 2 8 ohm cabs (for 4 ohms total), or one 4 ohm cab. All will work fine, but you'll get max power from a 4 ohm load.Hey guys, im looking into buing a LMII and i have a couple questions:

Very likely, your pair of 200W cabs will work, as often, cabs are able to take well above their rated power as long as you feed them a clean signal, but it's always a risk depending on the cabs. I'd say maybe call Trace and see what they say.
I have an Ampeg 4x10 classic cab, will that work with little mark II. I'm gonna get one, if it is a good match..
I am going to use my LMII head tonight as a preamp with my Bergie IP112/EX112. This should be interesting!
I keep going back and forth between the IP112/EX112 versus using the LMII head powering my tried and true Bergie HT112/EX112. The LMII EQ flexibility is quite amazing. I can get a great sound through the LMII with HT/EX112. But using the LMII "Pre-out" driving a Bergie IP112/EX112? well, it's REALLLY cool! Lot's of punch, with the EQ versatility of the LMII. I have three gigs this weekend, so this is going to be fun! Gary

Ok, so I got to use the LMII and my trusty Yamaha BB110S (4 ohm, 1x10 cab).
Unfortunately, since I had played the venue last, it came under new management, and they overhauled the sound system (with a new Mackie system you can see in the picture). I had previously played the venue with no PA support before I had the LMII. You can sort of see the rig between myself and the soundman.
It was a great stage monitor, and I really didn't need to crank it since I went from the LMII's DI into the board. I got a bunch of positive comments from the other bands' bass players, and I was able to compete with the drummer, and the Mesa Triple Rectifier you can also see in the pic. I should point out though, that the guitarist obviously didn't' crank it because of the size of the venue.
Also, this compact rig made hanging out after the gig a lot easier, and my 5th floor walkup a lot less painful than it would have been. AND my girlfriend heard a lot less bitching about me lugging equipment around...
Any specific questions on this setup please let me know.

I got a Link Removed from MF and the LMII fits perfectly.
High quality material and zippers, with a nicely padded black fur on the inside. The sides are stiffer and there is a strap with velcro inside for more stability. The outer pocket is big enough to hold two 5', 12g speakon cables and the power cable. There is a little room on either side of the amp, but it was almost as if the bag was made for it.

I'm clearly in agreement with you, but I had to crack a joke after all the ribbing these amps take for their looks. The obvious functionality of that bag doesn't stop me from passing judgment on the fact that it's uglyTone, portability, and protection are my only concerns.

I understand completely. I actually don't find the amp all that ugly--the cabs are another story.
The ugly bag is just a compliment to the entire situation.

Has anyone seen the actual Markbass bag in person? Peter mentioned that they should be available for order from GC, but when I asked they hadn't heard about it. The thing I like about this bag is the fact that it has front and back zippers so you can leave the amp in the bag while in use...
