    Today it's looking like the whole escape-in-a-bass-case aspect of the story is tabloid speculation that went viral. There was even a diagram of a person crouching in a big guitar case.

    But I read that Ghosn appears in security video leaving the house on foot and not coming back. Less dramatic, yes, but a lot more credible.

    New details in Jalopnik: report says he used a big musician's road case to get on the plane at Osaka-Kansai. The Turkish authorities apparently found one with speakers and one without on the plane he left in Istanbul. That makes more sense.

    When I first saw the story I was skeptical...not of him fitting in the case, but of a bass case actually getting loaded on the plane.
