Can I borrow $5500?

toyotas and subarus, more than any other (non collector/practical) vehicles that i have seen hold their values the best, especially where i live. I would say that 5500 isnt rediculous, when i see comparable prices every day in the classifides. Toyota 4runners, now THERE is a car that holds value. There are about 15 in my truck trader right now all about 1992-1995 that are going for about 5000-7000 dollars, and most people dont even bat an eye at that price.
i myself saw that same truck (mike money's dream) for about 3500, and was blown away by the price.

blue book for a 1995 in the same condition as this one is $5200...

Why do you need a truck? Why does anyone here need a truck/4x4? Do you need to ford rivers and cross deserts to get to work every day? Does it make you feel more like a real man? Do you enjoy enlarging the hole in the ozone layer that is above my head right now?
Just asking. I mean I'm no hippie, but I fail to see the logic in buying inefficient, slow, ugly, impractical trucks that pretty much just annoy every other motorist and waste fuel.

Well I need it to haul my 8x10 cab, and not to get stuck in floods when it rains in florida. And when u wanna make some extra money, you can use it to haul things out for people. And trucks coming out now are not slow.simpy1 said:

Matter of fact I tow a 7000 lb trailer during the summer, and do alot of snowplowing during the winter, with an 8' Western setup. If you can find me an econobox that can do this for me and save the environment at the same time, let me know.

I mean fair enough the people who haul stuff around, but there are a whole lot of people that don't haul stuff. They just like to feel big. And they seem to enjoy the fact that when they crash into someone else due to poor handling and too much inertia, they will be safe, while crushing everyone else to death. How generous.
