I'm seeing these in this thread with flamed maple, koa, natural finishes and they are all beautiful. I'm absolutely dying for one!I echo the words of most other SB owners, this bass is killer. Odd metal plate or not.

Hmmm 1200...
Should I go for it?

It's just a little hard to justify spending $1800 on a custom bass right now, hah
I only spent $1400 for mine. Flock at Carvin San Diego hooked me up. Talk to him, tell him you saw my crazy awesome flame koa 5er and ask him to help you realize your dream. Couldn't hurt.

Is that so?
hmm
Well what I mean was it's hard justifying spending any money on a bass right now
how would I get a hold of him?
not exactlyFlock is the man...Call the San Diego showroom.
I never priced a real expensive one...but at $1800 you must have had just about every options...Mine priced under 12.
not exactly
quilted maple top umber finish, flamed neck birdseye board
abalone inlays, mplae neck, alder body, dunlop strap locks, 14 in radius
something fishy is going on
just came out to 1288 when yesterday was well over 1600
what
With quilted maple top should I go umber or tung oiled?
and for back of neck, which is preferrable? tungoiled or satin?
