Ok, I think my bx500 is on the chopping block......who wants it? I will just get the darn b2000........that can be the head to my "light, little rig" A carvin b2000 through two markbass102p's! Yes......delicious! Me likey POWER
Not that I love all of Carvins products, but I do love my B1500, and I really love the fact that they listen to what musicians want. You have to admit they really try to deliver a good product for a reasonable price. Not to mention they are made in the U.S.A., and they are a christian company.
I'm just droolin over the thought of a tube in the front end of that B2000. Is it overkill for a Low B4? Prolly. But what fun and excellent price point. If it's anything close to my B1500, I'll be a happy camper.

Yes, I saw that yesterday too. Makes me glad that I ordered when I did. It's scheduled to ship on January 25th, so I will hopefully receive it 4-5 days after that. I'll definitely post a review for you all as soon as I can.
What? They say "in stock" on the Carvin website. Hmmm... that stinks. They should at least say "shipping late January" or something.
It says "In Stock" in the upper right hand side by the pricing.
However, if you look down at the product description it clearly states that the amp will be available to ship on the 25th.

That should be just killer. I was so, so impressed with the B1500, but it was just too big and heavy. That B2000 is almost too good to be true. The EQ (it looks the same as the B1500) is just wonderful, with those multiple controls for each of the general tone areas (bass, mid, treble), from sub bass to punch to nasal to grind to brightness to sizzle... total control.
Are you getting a 15/6? That will just KILL with the B2000. You will be getting a rig that can stand up to a $3 or $4K system for a small fraction of that.
Post up when you get it. I'm thinking of ordering a B2000 just because it is so over the top cool. I can't even get my little Markbass heads to reach their limit, but it would be cool just to have something that powerful to, well, just 'have'
Actually I'm 88% certain that I'm getting a 410 with ceramic speakers plus tweeter. A little traditional, but I want the power handling and 35 Hz resonant frequency of those Eminence Legend 10s.
As it stands, I'll have a maximum 1300W going into this 800W rated 410 cabinet @ 4 Ohms, and (if Carvin's specs can be believed, and I have no reason to doubt them) I can get another 4 Ohm cabinet later.
When I get the rig, I'll post pics. When you see it, it won't be traditional.

4 Bp102s is not going to be much louder if at all than a pair of 3012LFs would be with that amp. Both require a midrange to get solid mids anyway
The 3012LFs'll go darn near as low too.
Feel bad for the guys that bought a B1500 and are not happy with it; resale is going to be a lot lower now.
Resale's never really that great with Carvin in the first place...regardless of the product line.
and, depending on how the new models sound, the b1500 might start to fetch more rather than less, since it's no longer available new...
