Either can most player's cabs - they will incinerate with that kind of wattage!
^ Yea~ The B2000 could probably blow up an Acme B4! I'll plug in at NAMM this week and give a 'report'.
The difference between 110db and 120db is the difference between blowing your eardrums and not, so I'd say it's pretty significant

At that price and weight, you could rack up three or four and really have some fun!!
I love the B800/1500 head. Way to go Carvin. I am still cutting well with my B800, B2000 would blow the roof off 8)

Would appreciate your thoughts on how the 2 sound; it would be could if you could compare to some sort of industry standard; perhaps Ampeg.
While the features, power, price, and weight make these amps attractive, lack of punch, deep soundstage, clarity, etc. would make them useless.
Good news, is that Carvin has had a history for decent equipment; just wondering about the "soul" factor.
You might want to do a search on this, as this combination has been discussed in the past. Or rather, the B1500 plus Acme has.
I used to have a B-4 cab, and the only reason I sold it was the size of the gigs I've been doing. Sonically it was killer. Weight, punch, and clarity. There's isn't an Ampeg made that I personally would take over a B1500. Just one man's taste, and worth exactly what you paid for it....
The B2000's 6 EQ bands are given as: SUB BASS, BASS, LOW MID, MID, HIGH MID and TREBLE. It would be nice to have the actual frequency points listed in the specification. Does anyone know what these are?

If it is the same as the B1500 (which we reviewed in issue #2), it would be 30Hz, 100Hz, 300Hz, 1kHz, 3kHz, and 10kHz.

Issue 2 of BassGearMag tested the B1500.
If the eq points have stayed the same they are:
30, 100, 300, 1khz, 3khz, and 10khz

Are those bands sweepable or do you have to accept Carvin's default mid-points?
