Cheapest bass you just LOVE

The very cheapest is a Peavey Zodiac which I got used for $70 and you can't tell from my '69 Pbass in a blindfold test.
Next best is a used Ibanez SRX3EXQM1 if got for $199. It's the most versatile bass I have and is what I take to gigs when I don't know what I'll need. It can cover most anything.

SX jazz I bought for $80. Put a 3 band in it and copper shielded it as well. Some EBAY covers and GHS strings... Plays like a dream.

This is the cheapest bass that I own. It's a shortscale Telecaster Bass with spalted maple top. Made by BaCH.
It only costs 250 euro. But it doesn't look it and certainly doesn't sound like it.

The single coil makes it sound like a fifties P bass. That typical woody open character.
And the humbucker bridge can make it sound grittier, more like an EB3 with the bridge pickup only.
With the pickup selector in the middle position you get both pickups at the same time, which results in a slighty more compressed type of sound. A little more "dense" sounding (if that makes sense to you...?)

It's been getting a lot of playtime lately and as a result I've been getting a lot of positive comments on this bass.

I bought a used Carlo Robelli fretless at GC for $89. Fantastic player. Wonderful tone and pretty good looking. With case out the door for 120. I just sold it to a neighbor's kid and I kinda miss it. I got a Squier VM fretless for 120 at the same GC and it's a keeper. I have a nice bass from Back In The Day but my go-to player is a Fiesta Red CV P that cost me 260 shipped.

My 5-string SX Jazz, $180. I own a 1982 American Fender Jazz with which to compare. Even my beloved E-series MIJ P has been taking a back seat to the SX ever since I got it.

I keep wondering, what's the catch for such a low price, like the neck will fall off or something, but it's solid as a rock and sounds great. I'd like to get the action a little lower, as on my Precision, but otherwise this one's a keeper.
