Two shows this Sat night keep you posted

Unbelievable! Digging in a bit too much last night getting ready for the shows I snapped the E string on my Fender P which happens to be Labella flats! Unreal second E string I took out this year! I had to string it up with rounds and those Flats were sounding sweet as can be! Got to kick myself in the a** later! I enjoy playing bass too much

Dude, check the bridge saddle for your E-string. If had money I'd bet you've got a burr or some other short of sharp edge on there that's basically sawing those strings in two. No way you should be breaking strings like that (especially E strings) no matter how hard you're digging in.

Yeah I recently beginning of the year had it set up I broke the E string on a different bass you'ed be surprised how many strings i have broken and i am talking the E and A and they aren't only being killed at the bridge I have taken them out at the machines heads as well most of the time snaps at the core and un-winds

I'm playing tonight at Jammin Java in Vienna, VA. It's a big show for us. We'll also have a professional video crew to get performance and crowd footage for our upcoming debut music video. My band is called Fight the Lion.

So please check us out if you're in the area!

Cool band name. Super cool that you're gonna get a pro video recording. It's not always fun to watch (or hear) yourself on video but there is no single better way to really hone-in on how you can improve... individually and as a band. Good luck and I hope you rock the house and get a killer vid out of it.

Paterson Art walk show got moved inside the Paterson Museum so we had to move the Pa and amps and other Eq. from the Great falls to the museum down the street. Show went off great after that here is a vid from the show The second show was great as well many people who were at the first one follow us convoy style 2 miles up the road to the second show which packed out even more then normal! So glad both went well. We are off until July 8th for vacations

Thanks! We've done lots of amateur video, so hopefully we're prepared to see/hear ourselves on real video. Our only goal was to get performance shots that we can splice into the scripted video scenes, to be done later. I hope we accomplished that.

I know you're not supposed to look AT the camera, but I didn't realize how hard that is. All night long my inner dialogue was saying, "Oh look, there's the guy with the-DON'T LOOK AT IT! AAAh!" I'm definitely not a natural, haha.

The show was great, the other bands were great, we made friends, fun times.

Just coming off an amazing Friday/Sat night gig at a big-time lakeside night spot in Okoboji (major summer resort area in North Central IA).

Perfect summer weather both nights (though we were playing inside), HUGE turnouts especially Saturday night when the place was pretty much full before we even started and got more full from there. Pretty young women EVERYWHERE including three bachelorette parties on Friday night and another one on Saturday night with one of the hottest (and wildest) young brides-to-be I have ever seen (pics will be posted in Chicks at Shows thread if I can ever pry them away from my guitarist). Our poor drummer... 25, single, no girlfriend... he was like a starving man at a 1/2-mile buffet.

Oh yeah, the music? Let's just say we've played better... we were definitely distracted by all the "scenery"... but it was such a party scene and our BL worked the room so well it turned out not mattering that much.

Ok, I have to ask. What's the story with your guitarists lit up binding & strap? That is mad cool. I like, I want.

Leds wired to 9 volts

Guitar has red leds not pink as they sometimes show in photos and when the batteries is new it can be blinding lol

Keyboard done as well with the band name in blue lights

I have a hat band with a 9 volt velcro inside the hat yellow leds Link Removed

drums and singers mic stand in the works

glad you like we are always trying to separate ourselves from the rest Leds, Fog machine, sound actived Light Tree sound actived Laser Lights used to light the head of the guitar on fire but the fire Marshalls frown on it after the Great White show that killed all of those people got it on you tube though

Yesterday we helped out a band, theyr keyboarder told them that broke his right hand and could not play. So they only were able to play half theyr set. As theyr drummer is although playing in my band, and our guitarist is with the other band for a while now, I guessed, it would be nice to do a set together - half of my band was on stage already.

As the keyboarder with the broken hand heard this, he grew that jealous, his hand healed immediately... Yeah, to make a long story short, we did our set, and the other band got rid of theyr keyboarder because of uncooperative behaviour.

As I wanted to get my bass in tune, together with my son, who had to tune his guitar (he is 16 years and played two songs with us, I am so proud of him...), he tried to scare away my son to "go and get Your f***** guitar in tune anywhere", so I had to tell him, that our work at least is as important as his. So the event started with bad words and not in good ambience. But in the end it was a nice gig, the crowd cheered as my son did "Don't believe a word" by Tin Lizzy and "Have A Cigar" by Pink Floyd with us.

Had the pleasure of playing the largest street dance in Nebraska on Sunday night. We didn't set an attendance record, but our crowd was double the prior year (2k). Just shy of 4k paid attendance....5 sets....long night...but it was a BLAST!!!! Next year we'll be hiring even more sound....

The crowd pick is about 3 hours into the night...
