I have chickened out from going to CME because I know I would end trading in my Lakland and Pedulla for either a Sadowsky Metro they have or that all black Sandberg California. I love my Lakland, but I could live happily with that trade. The Pedulla, however, is a great bass that I got a great price, that it took me a long time to get. It is also the very best fretless I have ever played or owned, and I have made a lot of progress on it too. I don’t want to end up feeling guilty or dumb for letting go for a slightly nicer fretted bass than the one I own.

It did kill the GAS, but GAS has a way of coming back. My Pedulla has neck that matches Sadowsky dimensions in the back and nut. Comparing my DJ5 to my Pedulla, I knew the Pedulla fit just a bit better, a Sadowsky would solve that issue. I also like the Sadowsky preamp too. Frankly, the difference is small enough that I still enjoy my DJ5, it is my best fretted bass by a wide margin, and I can always buy another Sadowsky preamp stomp box. I would be the loser if I trade in my Pedulla and DJ5 for the MV5 Metro at CME.
