chick vs chick with bass: electric boogaloo

Right out of college, I managed various General Nutrition Centers for a few years. So I was more into fitness and exercise and read a lot of the bodybuilding magazines. That is in fact a chick named Nicole Bass and she does identify herself as a female. Scary, right?

Yeah, I'd say... but then again...
To each their own.:)

Note to all members: instead of posting something that might be construed as questioning a moderator's actions in trying to keep a thread open, ask yourself if your meaning is clear. If you really want to troll a moderator, skip the cute dancing-on-the-edge-of-Rule#5 trolling bit and simply email one of the admins and ask for your account to be banned. We can and will accommodate you. If, on the other hand, you had no intention of trolling by commenting on the actions of a moderator in the public forums, then don't comment on the actions of a moderator in the public forums. It's pretty simple, really.

You and your guitar player make me question my sexuality...lol...but then since you're actually guys...does that still make me straight?:D I'm so confused! :p

Just means you're awesome!

That one is awesome, but it was the other, more frontal shot that started the 'Cuter legs than Phalex' club. I do like the keyboardist in that pic a lot though.

Not any question about my sexuality, I love hot musicians. And that is hot. The shoes rock.

My appreciation for shoes comes from my wife, you know, shoes, basses, shoes, basses. It's a compromise. We all have to have our thing.

Sticky material. Thank you, mods, btw. Yall can go back to your thread now.

hi all - played a private party gig tonight. I think there were at least a couple of lesbians in attendance but it's not like you can check their passports.

Anything going on around here? Not sure what's happened since the last time I checked in. Should I do a "one of these things is not like the other"?

Yessir, I think it's time.

First of all, I would like to apologize up front to Thor. This post is not intended to be funny, sarcastic, or humorous in anyway...but I need to clear some things up, so I hope you can cut me some slack here.

Secondly, thank you to the Deej, for being who you are! And THANK YOU for the thread. For the most part, it has been a complete blast!

Thirdly, I want to apologize to everyone if my behavior here(and apparently it has been) taken as anything but:
a.) trying to keep the thread going & keep it funny &
b.) trying to keep a pretty damn great kid laughing.

Somewhere along the line, the creepy guy tag started getting thrown around, and at first I was cool with it(even expected it from trolls) as long as Sam knew the deal. I didn't mind taking a few knocks if it kept people enjoying themselves. I have my big-boy pants on. I can entertain. Deep down inside, I thought everyone "got" what I was doing.

I'm not calling names. I'm not angry at anyone. It's just gotten to the point where it IS hurtful, because I thought we were all friends here. I only blame myself....no one made me act like that, except me. I own it.

So again, I apologize to everyone who has been concerned, upset, disgusted or whatever negative adjective you would like to come up with for me or, anything I have said here.

I especially want to offer my deepest apology to Sam for any embarrassment, or other trouble this may have caused you. I do love ya to bits, I really do.. but not in the way I have evidently encouraged people, through my post, to believe. You know I am your friend. You are a brilliant bass player and I really believe your future is excellent.
I am sincerely, from the bottom of my heart & soul, so sorry!

So I'm dialing it way back. I'll probably still cast a vote or two, but that's it (and it's always "chick with bass" , BTW).
Please post plenty of pics for Sam, and don't forget you are here to laugh and enjoy each others company. Thanks.

Back to "what's the best bass for metal?" and "can you put a mighty-mite neck on an SX?" threads.:hmm:

Peace,
Tony

No need to apologize to me, my fellow bassist. I totally got where you were coming from.

Whenever I see talented young musicians, I try to support them. When I was that age, being young was hard, many doors were closed. Not many people had a kind word, times were hard for them too.

We all know that being in love with music is hard, and few people appreciate the difficulty of that passion. I have had many friends give up, mostly because they couldn't find the support. Myself, I stopped bass and all other music from 1980-84. Except playing my 12 string, just to keep hand in. My late Mom really put me back on the right mindset for me, and offered to help with some instruments.

I was the guy who wanted to learn piano, but didn't have one. I wanted the lessons and the gear but had no money for it. Today, I look at every minute I can play the bass in ensemble as a blessing. I took years, but I am finally getting there.

The message is, you can get there, you can do it, but only if you don't quit or give up on your self, your hopes and dreams. No, I will never be famous. The only people who see my dedication to music are other musicians, I am good with that. Every day I grow. Every day I learn something new, and I am proud of that, It's a process. Encouraging other young musicians is something I consider a privilege. I want to give better than I got.

Somebody tell me a joke, I need some laughs today. :hyper:
